AGE: 1 YearSEX: FemaleBREED: Collie MixENERGY LEVEL: MediumDOG FRIENDLY: Yep!CAT FRIENDLY?: Likely!KID FRIENDLY?: UntestedFOSTER IG: @pawsbypearlMeet Tessa! This incredibly sweet, gentle girl is absolutely adorable, with a unique and fun personality that’s impossible not to love. She may be a little shy at first, but once she settles in, her affectionate nature truly shines - she loves being close to her people, soaking up pets, and simply enjoying your company. Tessa has a playful, slightly sassy side that begins to come out as she grows more comfortable, and it’s so rewarding to watch her confidence build. She enjoys treats and chews and would likely make a wonderful running buddy for someone looking for an active partner.Tessa is house trained and crate trained, and her crate is her safe, cozy space - she’ll often choose to relax there when she needs a little downtime. She does very well when left home alone and is a quiet, easygoing presence in the home. She walks nicely on leash and is generally calm and neutral when seeing other dogs. She tends to prefer male dogs and may need slower introductions with female dogs. Tessa has also met a cat at the vet clinic and showed calm curiosity, so she would likely do well in a home with a cat. She’s friendly when meeting new people and warms up nicely with a bit of reassurance, and has done great with guests in the home, including a young child!Tessa would do best in a quieter neighbourhood, as she’s still getting used to busier environments and can feel a bit unsure around things like buses, trucks, bikes, and joggers. She does have a prey drive on walks, so continued guidance will help her stay focused. She currently lives with another dog and is learning to share space, making steady progress - they’ve even started to play together. She may need support with slow introductions and has shown some food guarding tendencies with other dogs initially, so thoughtful management will help her succeed; this completely dissipates once she’s settled in. With a loving home that offers support and encouragement, Tessa will continue to blossom into a confident, devoted companion who’s happiest right by your side.Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for Tessa? Story
Meet Puffy—an affectionate, soft-hearted 2-year-old (40-pound) lovebug with soulful eyes that seem to ask one simple question: “Are you my person?” He’s healthy, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his shots—ready to start his new life the moment you say yes. Puffy did have a home once, but his family could no longer keep him. He didn’t understand why the people he loved were suddenly gone… he only knows he’s still waiting for another chance to belong. Even with that big change, Puffy hasn’t hardened—if anything, he’s even more tender. He seeks out closeness, leans into gentle attention, and relaxes when he knows you’re nearby. He’s the kind of dog who makes a house feel warmer just by being in it—quiet company at your feet, a happy greeting at the door, and a steady presence when you need one. Puffy is wonderfully social and easy to fit in—he does well with cats, dogs, and children. He’d thrive with people who want a true companion and will include him in everyday moments: morning routines, weekend errands, couch time, and all the little in-between parts of life that add up to “home.” A fenced yard would be a dream come true, but what matters most to Puffy is something far simpler and much bigger: being chosen for good. Puffy charms nearly everyone he meets—and once you spend a little time with him, it’s hard not to imagine him as “yours.” All he needs now is someone willing to be his safe place—his forever home. He’s doing great in his foster home in the GTA and is ready for the next (and best) chapter of his life. We’re looking for a family located in Ontario within about 3 hours of Toronto. If you’re ready to adopt and give this sweet boy the fresh start he deserves, please email our rescue at c4ptoronto@gmail.com and ask about Puffy and our foster to adopt program.

Story
Meet Lenny, a happy, goofy, and affectionate dog who is ready to find his forever family. Lenny weighs 50 pounds and is four years old. He appears to be Collie/Lab and Collie mix (or something very similar) and he has the sweet, people-loving nature to match. Lenny loves being around humans and thrives on attention, affection, and companionship. He’s friendly and gentle with people, does well with children, and has been around many different dogs, all of whom he’s gotten along with beautifully. While he hasn’t been exposed to cats, he has shown himself to be social, playful, and well-mannered. This big-hearted boy is playful and a little goofy in the very best way. He loves pets, kisses, and being part of whatever people are doing. Lenny is housetrained, walks well on a leash, travels calmly in the car, and has no food aggression. He may bark when he hears doorbells or knocks, but overall he settles well with routine and reassurance. Lenny would do best in a home with someone who has some dog experience, as he benefits from structure and consistency. Apartment living is possible for him, though a smaller building rather than a large high-rise would be ideal. While Lenny doesn’t have separation anxiety and is not destructive if a family lives in an apartment it would be best if meone works from home. This is because if left alone he may bark while waiting for his family to return. Lenny has so much potential and would truly shine with continued training. He would do wonderfully in obedience classes, agility training, group play, or doggie daycare, where he can burn energy, learn new skills, and socialize. He would be happy as an only dog or with another canine companion, and we believe he would do well with children aged eight and up. Lenny is a joyful, loving boy who simply wants to be included, guided, and loved. With the right home, he will be an incredibly loyal and fun companion who brings laughter, warmth, and devotion wherever he goes. Lenny is healthy, neutered, and up to date on his shots. If you live in Canada within three hours of Toronto and think Lenny could be the one for you, please reach out to our rescue at c4ptoronto@gmail.com. We would love to tell you about and our foster to adopt program. Lenny is ready to meet his people — and to finally belong.

Story
🐶✨ Meet Pepita — A Bundle of Joy Ready to Take on the World! ✨🐶 Pepita was found tied to a tree left all alone. We aren’t sure why because Pepita is pure sunshine wrapped in a gorgeous milk chocolate coat, and she’s ready for a bright, happy future! Pepita is around one year old, healthy, updated on shots, spayed and about 45 pounds. She is full of energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm for learning new things. When Pepita meets people, her excitement is impossible to miss—she’s just so happy and eager to connect! She may come on a little strong at first, but it’s all love and joy. The real magic happens once she’s outside: on leash, Pepita surprises everyone by becoming calm, focused, and wonderfully cooperative. Her collie instincts and smarts kick in and she walks beautifully and listens well. With a stable home and regular routine, Pepita will absolutely thrive. Pepita is a social butterfly with other dogs and loves to play. Her style is best described as “happy clumsy over grown puppy”—lots of enthusiasm, big energy, and zero bad intentions. Even if she’s unsure at first around larger or fluffier dogs, she quickly figures out they are friends and joins right in. Cats? No problem. Pepita shows no aggression at all—just curiosity and the occasional playful glance. Pepita is searching for an active, loving family ready to introduce her to the world. Walks, games, learning new tricks, cuddles after a busy day—Pepita is ready for it all. Preference will be given to dog experienced homes, activities and exercise to keep her busy, fenced in yard and time to spend with Pepita. 💛 With love, guidance, and a little patience, Pepita will grow into an incredible companion who fills your home with laughter, energy, and joy. If you would like to meet her and learn more about our foster to adopt program please email our rescue at c4ptoronto@gmail.com.

Story
🌟 Meet Noir — The Sweet Soul Who’s Learning She’s Safe Noir’s life could have ended before it ever truly began. She was rescued just moments before she wandered onto a high speed highway—frightened, trembling, and trying to make sense of a world that had not been kind to her. After she was brought to safety, we searched and waited, hoping someone would come for her—hoping she was missed. But no one ever did. For a while, it felt like Noir had been invisible. Not anymore. Because the most beautiful part of Noir’s story is what’s happening now: she’s beginning to bloom. With gentle support and time, Noir has started to transform in the quiet, powerful way that only truly resilient dogs can. She’s learning that hands can be kind. That rest can be peaceful. That she doesn’t have to run anymore. She’s learning—slowly but surely—that she is safe, that she matters, and that she is not alone. Noir is incredibly gentle and sensitive, the kind of dog who doesn’t demand the spotlight but will absolutely shine once she knows her heart is protected. She’s a “diamond in the rough” in the truest sense—soft, tender, and full of quiet potential, just waiting for the right person to help her confidence grow. 💛 The Home Noir Dreams Of Noir doesn’t need a perfect home—she needs a patient one. A calm space, a steady routine, and a person who understands that trust is a journey, not a race. She’s looking for someone who will celebrate the small victories: the first relaxed sigh, the first tail wag, the first time she chooses to come closer on her own. If you’ve ever wanted to be the reason a dog learns what love feels like, Noir may be the one. Because sometimes, all it takes is one person to change a life forever—and Noir is ready to believe that her person is out there. 🐾 About Noir Noir is between 1 – 2 years old and weighs about 45 pounds. She is health, vaccinated, and spayed. She is good with other dogs, children and leaves cats in her foster home along.
