Hey there, I’m Dingo!! I’m a 1 year old collie mix and just a handsome fella. I get along great with other doggies..oh, and I’m a fabulous smoocher!! Wanna meet me? We are currently open Wednesday-Thursday by appointment only (closed Tuesdays), Fri through Monday 12-5, no appointment necessary during those hours. Story
Chigger aka Chi is a collie mix ready to find her forever home. She is a sweetheart with a dash of mischief who just wants to be loved and love you back! Chi is estimated to be two years old, and is around 50 pounds - but a svelte leggy 50 lbs! She is young and loves to play and run but also loves to snuggle up on the couch with a pillow or a human. She is currently living with two older dogs and a cat, and also has play dates with a neighbor dog who is her age and is able to get along with all!Chi also is great with her foster family, alternating between snuggling and wanting belly rubs even from the kids. She is patient and gentle with kids, but keep those stuffies safe!                                                                           While Chi is good with kids, her forever family needs to keep in mind that she is part herding breed and can get excited if her people are running around too much. She doesnt nip at heels and calms down well, and has not exhibited any other herding traits. She has also been caught with paws on kitchen counters and she has happily declared herself offical leftover inspector, so her foster family has had to keep an eye on whats left out! Chi has also self appointed herself a member of the neighborhood watch and loves to hang out in the window watching the goings on! Chi knows a good amount of commands, including sit, paw, stay, lay down, and come. When people come inside the house she likes to say hi a little too much, and is working on "off". She is crate trained but does not like it, and will show her displeasure with the destruction of whatever is left in or near the crate within pawlength. She is a smart girl and will easily catch on to additional training.   Chi will require a fenced in yard as she loves to go say hi to bunnies and people. In her excitement she can forget what her yard boundaries are! If you think that Chi would be a fantastic addiiton to your family please appply today! Prince lost his home and family after a house fire... the family relocated and left him behind. Neighbors were caring for him, knowing his family were unable to take him back. Prince is a 4 year old collie/shepherd mix weighing 44 pounds. Prince, since coming to Pet Search, is fully vetted- vaccinations, wormed and flea treated, neutered, 4DX tested and microchipped. He has shown to be good with female dogs at this time but has shown reactiveness to cats. He is becoming accustomed to crate training. Since coming to Pet Search we have seen him come out of his shell. Young children/toddlers and fast movements make him nervous. Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! I am awesome out and about, meeting new people and new friends :D I hope you will look into my eyes, the windows to my soul, and see the HOPE I have to find my own home again! The rescue is great because I got a second chance, but I REALLY want a home!! Local adoption only $300 (in TX)

Zion is a very obedient, intelligent, and affectionate cattle dog who thrives when he has a job to do. He loves going for walks and is an enthusiastic swimmer—water is one of his absolute favorite things. He’s great with other dogs and gets along well in multi-dog homes. With kids he’s just okay. He does best with an experienced handler who understands cattle dogs (or herding breeds in general) and can give him structure, mental stimulation, and purposeful activity. A farm, acreage, or active rural/suburban lifestyle where he can work and burn energy would be ideal. He’s not the right fit for a low-activity or first-time dog owner. One important note so you know what to expect: When you pet him he loves it—then sometimes nips at you in response. He has never bitten and the nipping is not aggressive; it seems more like he gets overstimulated and has an “off” switch that doesn’t fully work. It’s a quirk that an experienced cattle-dog person will understand and can manage.

We are looking for a responsible, experienced forever home for our 5-year-old Australian Cattle Dog. He has been part of our family (mom, dad, and two kids) and lives happily with our two other dogs—he truly loves his housemates and is affectionate with the people he knows. He is an active, playful dog who thrives on walks, playtime, and interaction. He is highly intelligent, knows all his basic commands, and is obedient. He is great with our kids and very affectionate once he trusts you. Important notes for potential adopters: He can be protective when strangers come to the house, which is typical of the breed. We strongly recommend an experienced owner who understands Australian Cattle Dogs and can provide consistent leadership. Ideally, a home without frequent kids coming in and out would be the best fit. He also has a couple of endearing (and funny) quirks: he sometimes tries to “herd” the kitchen cabinets and will jump at tree branches. These are classic herding-breed behaviors.
