I adopted Leia from someone in Harrisburg. She did come from two farm dogs. She's extremely playful, energetic, and cuddly. She definitely needs someone who can give her the attention that she so desires. Back when I had more time, I'd take her and my shepherd to hike in the woods and I do trust her off leash out there. She does chase deer and squirrels, but always comes back and has never caught up to them. Aside from the time constraints, the other reason I'm hoping to re home her is because she gets car sick. So, I'm hoping that she can go somewhere with a large property. I think she'd do fantastic somewhere either with a large fenced in yard or just no close by neighbors. As far as cats go, she seems terrified. I figured that was a farm cat thing from when she was a pup, because I have no cats, myself. Ask any questions you like! I want Leia to get the best life possible.

"She ran calling "WILD.....FIRE"!! That is a haunting song.... I promise, though..I am not a HAUNTER!! But I may love to run around and around and AROUND :) I am a puppy! I am so sweet and cuddly, when i finish running around ;) I have plenty of energy so you HAVE to be ready to burn it off with mental and physical exercise. I am SMART too! Teach me who you want me to be and I will learn! I was found with 4 siblings living (dumped) at the Home Depot...but it was a LUCKY BREAK, cause we were seen by the husband of a rescuer and we got SAVED! Now I am in my foster home and learning the "ropes" ;) Potty training is getting better every day, I mean our foster mom takes us out often for potty control and I am really working hard to wait for the next jaunt outside! I also am crate training too! I don't like to pee or poop where I sleep- as long as I don't eat right before bed and go outside as soon as I wake up I am doing great!! I seriously am ready for my family, I LOVE to play and am great with all dogs big, small, old or babies. AND i have one half BLUE EYE!! The better to see you with, my new family! :) ADOPT ME SOON!! Now, before we go any further into my story.... let me warn you...it contains heartache and then some puppies, and fear and even some hopelessness. We do go to the top of the mountain as well, so hold in for the wild ride of my life:) maybe you will get to be my happily ever after.... So I was born a poor border collie mixed pup, in the miserable heat, in a disgusting backyard. To a mama that could have been so beautiful, if she had been brushed and cared for.... Fast forward thru almost 4 YEARS of misery and puppies, we were saved!!! I was saved with 9 newborn puppies and my sister/daughter/ cousin, etccc Princess and HER 9 PUPPIES TOO! We landed safe and sound at the rescue! We are now gorgeous girls and all pups grown and adopted! Now its time for me!! I am a single gal, and really don't like other dogs in my business. I want to be the Queen of the house :D Adopt me and I will fill YOUR home with my love and devotion. He has been part of our family (mom, dad, and two kids) and lives happily with our two other dogs—he truly loves his housemates and is affectionate with the people he knows. He is an active, playful dog who thrives on walks, playtime, and interaction. He is highly intelligent, knows all his basic commands, and is obedient. He is great with our kids and very affectionate once he trusts you. Important notes for potential adopters: He can be protective when strangers come to the house, which is typical of the breed. We strongly recommend an experienced owner who understands Australian Cattle Dogs and can provide consistent leadership. Ideally, a home without frequent kids coming in and out would be the best fit. He also has a couple of endearing (and funny) quirks: he sometimes tries to “herd” the kitchen cabinets and will jump at tree branches. These are classic herding-breed behaviors.
