Prince lost his home and family after a house fire... the family relocated and left him behind. Neighbors were caring for him, knowing his family were unable to take him back. Prince is a 4 year old collie/shepherd mix weighing 44 pounds. Prince, since coming to Pet Search, is fully vetted- vaccinations, wormed and flea treated, neutered, 4DX tested and microchipped. He has shown to be good with female dogs at this time but has shown reactiveness to cats. He is becoming accustomed to crate training. Since coming to Pet Search we have seen him come out of his shell. Young children/toddlers and fast movements make him nervous. Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! I am awesome out and about, meeting new people and new friends :D I hope you will look into my eyes, the windows to my soul, and see the HOPE I have to find my own home again! The rescue is great because I got a second chance, but I REALLY want a home!! Local adoption only $300 (in TX)

🐾 Meet Rusty! 🐾 Rusty is a 9-month-old Australian Kelpie/Shepherd mix who has already overcome more than any puppy should ever have to. Rusty came into rescue when he was just 3 months old after someone found him. At the time, he had what appeared to be a chemical burn running the entire length of his back. We don't know what happened to him or how he was injured, but thankfully, he made it into rescue and has been given the care and love he deserved. Rusty also suffered an eye injury. We don't know if it was related to what happened to his back, but unfortunately, his eye could not be saved and had to be removed. But losing an eye hasn't slowed this handsome boy down one bit! ❤️ Today, Rusty is a happy, healthy boy who is ready for his forever home. He has a medium activity level and enjoys going for walks, but he isn't looking for a home that never stops moving. He has great manners, gets along wonderfully with dogs of all ages, and does well in a crate. Rusty is the kind of dog who has been through a lot but hasn't let it change his sweet spirit. He is up to date on his vaccines and will be neutered soon. He has a medium to high energy level and absolutely LOVES his ball! 🎾 He would make a wonderful companion for an active person or family who enjoys playing, walking, and keeping a young dog busy. He loves taking walks and does very well on a leash. Because he is still very much a puppy, his new family will need to be patient and consistent with him as he continues learning the basics.
