Story
Meet Willow, the sweetest little pup you'll ever meet! This charming girl is full of life and guaranteed to bring laughter into your home with her playful, hilarious antics. Willow is discovering the joy of being a dog, whether it's enjoying a walk, hanging on a restaurant patio, paddle boarding (she is learning!) curling up in your arms for a cozy nap, nuzzling your neck, playing with other dogs, kids, or even cats, or simply bounding around with a new toy. Though she is still learning to not fear people after a tough start, Willow is blossoming into a confident, loving companion. She is a smart, spunky, kind, trainable girl who's already great in a crate, does well on a leash, and is potty trained (as long as she gets regular breaks). Willow is ready to learn and grow with the right family, one that will continue to introduce this endearing girl to all the joys life has to offer and guide her as she becomes the truly amazing dog she’s meant to be.To meet Willow, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. We are all 7 month old shepherd mixes, approximately 45 pounds each. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello friends, my name is Honey B, not to brag but, I’m a delight! I’m 1 year old and still full of playful puppy energy! I’m a Collie mix and weigh around 75lbs, I’m a big girl but don’t let that sway you away, I’m very gentle. If you feed me a treat, I'll take it from you with a whisper soft mouth and I’m careful around children. I have a foster sister who is a 3-year-old child and we get along great! She adores me because I enjoy sitting beside her while she colors or reads me stories. She also likes me to chase her and I’m careful not to get too excited or jump on her. In addition to being gentle, my house manners are likely to impress you. I am potty trained, and I’m a tranquil girl, if I do bark at something, a gentle reminder will get me quiet again. When my energy needs are met with a long walk or trip to the park, I’ll lay around quietly or nap. I enjoy napping in my crate and sleep soundly all night in there. I’m also not much of a chewer. I sometimes sneak away with my foster sister’s stuffed toys, but my foster mom says “Leave it” or “Bring it here” and I do just that! I’ve been working hard on my manners and listening skills with my foster family and made tremendous progress! I would love for my new forever family to help me continue my training. My foster mom has been driving me to various places to practice my manners in new environments. I’m fantastic in the car, I just lay there and wait quietly till we get where we are going. My walking skills have greatly improved since I’ve been going out with my foster mom! I don’t pull at all anymore and if I see a cat on my walk, I can keep my cool. That said, I do not like them! So I would not want to live with a cat. Other dogs do excite me because I’m a fun-loving girl. I do play well with other dogs for the most part, I just need supervision because if someone rubs me the wrong way, I can get a little grumpy, so just supervise playtime and remind me to take self-care breaks so I can keep playing nice. It’s probably best if I’m the only dog in the house.  My wish list for the perfect forever home: An active family that can meet my energy needs Someone who will commit to continuing my training  People who love to cuddle I need someone who will brush my beautiful long coat regularly I love kids, siblings would be a plus for me!  Do you think you could be my perfect forever family? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Toasty! Also known as Toast, Strudel, and Snake Boy (more on that in a minute!)   Toasty is an 8 month old, 37lb, collie mix. We believe he also has a dash of lab and Australian shepherd. He is a super handsome boy with slightly scruffy ears, a white chest and adorable white toes. He’s not JUST handsome, though! Toasty has so many amazing qualities. His recall is spot on. He’s one of those awesome puppies that came with recall pre-installed. All his foster mom really needed to do was reward him consistently and he responded with a rock solid return every time she calls. He bonds so nicely and is so loyal! Toast is incredibly trainable, largely because he is a treat fanatic. He is very, VERY food motivated, as well as being eager to please, meaning he is super fun to train! Toasty is a really fun, outgoing, and energetic doggy, he needs lots of stimulation and exercise! He would excel most in an athletic, on the go family/home. Regarding relationships – Toasty excels in this area, too. He is great with his foster kids (6 and 8) and with his foster brother, who is a large Search and Rescue GSD. He’s also been around farm animals, cats, chickens goats and horses and has been great with all of them. As much as this boy loves other animals, his people are where he is happiest. His favorite thing ever are belly scratches, and if he’s feeling itchy and you aren’t doing the job, he will scoot his belly along the ground himself - hence his nickname snake boy!   If you’ve been looking for a fun, active companion who will never leave your side and will be a friend to everyone you meet on your adventures, apply to meet Toasty today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 8, 2024, 4:58 pm

Story
Hi, I am Shinzo: an 9.5 yr old, 70 lb male McNab mix. The first word that comes to mind when you see me is regal, being poised in my stature, walk and behavior, but you might catch me playfully hopping with my dog buddies. When we first meet I need a moment to stand back to check you out just to determine if you're friend or foe, but don't worry...I'm a love bug after I've made my decision and see that you are worthy. I get along great with the dogs in my foster house, and I am great with kids. (Sorry, I don't like cats though.) I prefer not to bark (even when others are) as I am too well-mannered, but I have a wonderful deep bark if needed. I already know how to use a doggy door and am completely trained to do my business outside. Unlike some of my herding friends, I'm not hyperactive. I do need room and time to exercise (wait till you see how good I am on a leash!) but I also enjoy a nice nap at your side. I might nudge you with my nose if I feel you're ignoring me, but you'll think it's super cute. Don't fret, this regal boy doesn't require a throne...just a home and family where I can show you what a perfect dog I am to love and to love you.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Story
Meet Oso, a 2-year-old mix with a complex genetic heritage including (per Embark DNA test) Australian Cattle, German Shepherd, Border Collie, American Pit Bull Terrier, Chow Chow, McNab, and Australian Shepherd. He's a charmer with an adorable underbite and a heart of gold. Oso gets along well with other dogs once introduced properly and is a cuddle enthusiast. Oso does carry emotional scars from his past, particularly regarding his interactions with men. Initial introductions require patience and gentleness to help him overcome his fear and build trust. Furthermore, Oso exhibits guarding tendencies around toys and treats. He has never bitten but he vocalizes his discomfort through barks and lunges. With consistent training and positive reinforcement, Oso is learning to share and coexist peacefully with his furry companions. His unique blend of breeds contributes to his intelligence and adaptability, making him a versatile & engaging companion.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. Story
With floppy ears, Luke, age 5, is an adult cattle dog mix with perpetual puppy cuteness and sweetness. Weighing in at 35 pounds, he likes to spend his days cuddled up in a comfy spot staring out the window and is always up for an outdoor adventure. Truly the best of both worlds! Luke has impeccable indoor manners (crate and house trained) and would spend all day curled up by your side if able (it cannot be stressed enough how much he adores people). He is a very smart and treat motivated pup. Luke is working on his leash skills and not getting overly excited around other dogs and with a proper and slow introduction he does well, but truly thrives in home as the only dog. He would love for his forever family to continue his training to support him in being the best pup he can be. Could that be you? Dogs are not placed on a first- come, first-served basis.
