Story
We got Blue under a co-ownership arrangement in 2018 when she was just over 1 year old from a breeder who said she was a $3,500 dog shipped from a breeder in Ukraine. She would not take to the male and AI would be necessary. The breeder said they had her tested to she if she was a carrier an of eye disease common in collie's. The test was positive as a carrier so they chose not to breed her. We don't how accurate this is. Blue is a very timid dog. This is either her temperment or the result of mistreatment. We have been kind and patient with her. While she is house and kennel trained, if you are not vigilant or if startled she will have an accident. She will come when you call her if she feels like it. Usually takes much coaxing to get her to do what you want. Gets along with dogs after socialized but horrible on a leash with strange dogs. She has been sprayed by skunks twice. The most recent time was the last straw.

Story
Meet Foster Moon! This beautiful girl is a 45 lb Collie/Aussie mix! She has a mostly black soft, fury coat with bits of white hair strewn about on new chest! Foster is currently living with three small dogs and a lab mix! The lab mix is her best friend! She gets along ok with the smaller dogs but they can sometimes annoy her so she will do her best to avoid them. She would do best in a home with a larger dog she can take social cues from and doesn’t have a pushy play style. She would also thrive as an only dog. Foster is completely crate and house trained although her foster mom allows her to free roam! Foster walks beautifully on a leash and redirects with ease and grace. Once she is able to decompress and acclimate to her new home she will bond very easily to her humans. Miss Foster has a high drive so no cats or livestock such as chickens for this girl! She would also need to be placed in a home with older children, preferably teenagers. Her ideal home would have a fenced in yard where she can run, play and explore! She needs a knowledgeable handler that can continue her training and understands her breed. She is not a dog for new pet owners! Foster would do best in a home with a family/person who enjoys hiking or likes to be outdoors. She is a working breed dog and having a job for her would be best! She is much more interested in people and looks to them very quickly for reassurance! She will need some time to open up to her new family. She is very aloof with people until she gets to know them but once she does she’s yours forever! Does Miss Foster Moon sound like a good fit for your home? Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby, you also receive many other additional perks such as a 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.), a free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus incredibly low pricing for future sessions, 50% off of your first BarkBox order, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our FB Adopter group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. Follow along on our rescue journeys through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $42 surcharge.

OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Who could ask for a cuter dog! Friendly girl! Fast movements and loud noises are scary to her; would do best in a home with older, respectful children. Walks well on the leash, appears house trained and knows the sit and down commands. Very sweet and cuddly once she gets to know you. Enjoys playing with soft, squeaky toys. Does not appear to like cats and is a bit nervous around the other dogs here at the shelter. Weighs 44 pounds. $25 to adopt.

Story
OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Silly fellow that likes to roll around when playing. Walks well on the leash with minimal pulling and knows the sit command. Treat motivated, but a little rough when taking them from your hand; may be too overwhelming for younger children. Enjoys playing with soft toys and is always up for a game of tug-of-war. Sweet temperament. Would chase a cat if he had the chance, but came in with another dog a little smaller than him and they got along well. Weighs 62 pounds; $25 to adopt.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Greetings! I'm Ginseng! I'm a 50lb, 7 year old collie mix, and I can't wait to find my new forever home! I actually *had* a forever home, but sometimes sad things happen to good doggos. My former mama passed away :( So I came back to my previous foster family, and they've been taking excellent care of me. They say I'm a *very* good girl and that they'll find me a wonderful family <3   Now, don't let my age fool you into thinking I'm an old lady! I'm only middle aged - what some would call "the prime of life!" I love to get my exercise in for the day, whether it's a walk, a hike or a good game of fetch! And then I'm happy to snuggle and chill. I'm told that's a perfect energy level.   I love everyone, including kids and other dogs (and show it with cuddles and kisses). I am completely potty and crate trained and I know most basic commands. All in all, I'm a pretty great dog. I would say my only slight flaw is sometimes I whine a little or jump up on you to make sure you're paying attention to me, but it's just because I love you so much! If I sound like the girl for you, apply to meet me today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 4, 2023, 12:11 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Well howdy there partner!  My name is Buckaroo June and I'm looking for a place to spend my days bein a rootin' tootin' cowgirl! I am a 3 year old Collie Mix that weighs right around 40 pounds, the perfect size to be a lap dog, don't ya know?! I am very interested in things like walking, hiking, sniffing, and playing with other dogs. Once all the excitement is over I enjoy belly rubs, working on training with lots of treats, and cuddling up with my humans! I currently live with humans and dogs of all ages and sizes and I do great with each and every one of this rowdy lot that is fostering me. I am potty trained, crate trained, and a perfect little lady on my leash but as my name states I am a buckaroo through and through and I am stubborn when it comes to my basic commands. I'll do 'em, but only when I feel like it and with a strong leader so I'm gonna need a patient forever home that understands even though I am pretty much perfect, I'm gonna need some training work. Even though I am a wee bit sassy my foster momma says I'm a perfect little angel, I'm not destructive, I never get too excited and knock my toddler sibling over, and I love just relaxin with my family. If you are lookin to add a perfect little cowpoke with the prettiest eyes to your herd apply to meet me at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplicationVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 4, 2023, 12:11 pm
