Story
Meet Foster Moon!
This beautiful girl is a 45 lb Collie/Aussie mix! She has a mostly black soft, fury coat with bits of white hair strewn about on new chest!
Foster is currently living with three small dogs and a lab mix! The lab mix is her best friend! She gets along ok with the smaller dogs but they can sometimes annoy her so she will do her best to avoid them. She would do best in a home with a larger dog she can take social cues from and doesn’t have a pushy play style. She would also thrive as an only dog.
Foster is completely crate and house trained although her foster mom allows her to free roam!
Foster walks beautifully on a leash and redirects with ease and grace. Once she is able to decompress and acclimate to her new home she will bond very easily to her humans.
Miss Foster has a high drive so no cats or livestock such as chickens for this girl! She would also need to be placed in a home with older children, preferably teenagers.
Her ideal home would have a fenced in yard where she can run, play and explore!
She needs a knowledgeable handler that can continue her training and understands her breed. She is not a dog for new pet owners!
Foster would do best in a home with a family/person who enjoys hiking or likes to be outdoors. She is a working breed dog and having a job for her would be best! She is much more interested in people and looks to them very quickly for reassurance!
She will need some time to open up to her new family. She is very aloof with people until she gets to know them but once she does she’s yours forever!
Does Miss Foster Moon sound like a good fit for your home?

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes.
