Hi! My name is Raine and I am 1 year and 5 month old Australian Shepard/Border Collie/Pitbull mix. I am a very playful girl who will make you laugh with my silly personality, and my howls! I am shy at first, but once you gain my trust I am extremely loving and cuddly. I am also very loyal, I will follow you wherever you go! I don’t do well with other dogs right away, I need someone who will take the time to let me warm up to other dogs by going on pack walks. I have been able to make other dog friends by doing this! I will do best in a home with no other animals. I LOVE to go on adventures, especially paddle boarding and hiking. On-leash days in Millcreek canyon are my favorite because I’m able to enjoy the outdoors without other dogs getting in my space! I also love the snow, I could roll and play in it all day long! I am spayed, up-to-date on my vaccinations, crate-trained and potty trained.

I'm a super social girl who loves to play with other dogs (cats are also really fun to chase, so probably best that I go to a home without them). I'm not big on snuggling; but, once I have my exercise fix for the day I will settle down nicely next to you on the floor. My ideal home would be one that has a big fenced back yard and some active adults (no kids for me please) who want to take me on all of their outdoor adventures. Hi! My name is Nellie and I am a 1 yr old border collie x Aussie mix. I was picked up as a stray and taken to a local shelter. The shelter was loud and chaotic and it made me very nervous. Luckily Herding Haven "sprung" me and I am now in a foster home where I am learning that the world is not such a scary place. I am a little shy and nervous around people I don't know; but I warm up with patience, kindness (and yummy treats). Once I trust you I will be your most faithful and loyal friend (and the best snuggle bug you ever had). I love playing with other dogs; a home with another young dog to help show me the ropes is a must. I am not a fan of cats, so my furever home must be feline free. Kids make me nervous, so I need a home without small/young children (dog savvy teens/young adults over 16 yr would be ok). I am crate-trained, house-broken and learning not to pull on the leash. OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF:Cookie was found abandoned on the County Fairgrounds. She is very underweight and afraid; it is difficult for us to do an extensive evaluation on her. She will need someone with patience to help her overcome the trauma she has been through and to trust people again. She isn’t aggressive; she would rather run away than confront any issues that seem threatening to her. She does seem like a very sweet girl that appears to prefer the company of men over women. We think with time, TLC and patience, this little diamond in the rough will become a great companion. She’s timid around the other dogs here at the shelter and is uninterested in cats. The first word that comes to mind when you see me is regal, being poised in my stature, walk and behavior, but you might catch me playfully hopping with my dog buddies.When we first meet I need a moment to stand back to check you out just to determine if you're friend or foe, but don't worry...I'm a love bug after I've made my decision and see that you are worthy. I get along great with the dogs in my foster house, and I am great with kids. (Sorry, I don't like cats though.) I prefer not to bark (even when others are) as I am too well-mannered, but I have a wonderful deep bark if needed. I already know how to use a doggy door and am completely trained to do my business outside. Unlike some of my herding friends, I'm not hyperactive. I do need room and time to exercise (wait till you see how good I am on a leash!) but I also enjoy a nice nap at your side. I might nudge you with my nose if I feel you're ignoring me, but you'll think it's super cute. Frankie is a 10 month old dog, and is a shepherd and cattle dog mix of some sort. Frankie came to us as a medical rescue off a reservation, with horrible lacerations on one leg. He has now healed up beautifully and is hoping to find his forever home! Since he was a feral dog, he is very timid and lots of things scare him easily. While he is comfortable and does extremely well in his foster home, he will need a family that can be patient helping him learn basic commands, how to walk on a leash, and how to ride in a car. Frankie is one of the sweetest dogs, and loves to cuddle and follow his people around his house. He loves to play with toys, chew on bones, and lounge in a soft doggy bed or on the couch. He does happy dances at meal times, and loves butt scratches. He is house and crate trained. Frankie will ABSOLUTELY need to have a fenced in yard and another dog in the home that he can play with that will help him gain confidence in his new home.
