Story
🐾 Meet Raspberry! 🐾 📍 Fostered in Tomah, WI 🎂 Approx. 3.5 months old 📏 Expected medium size when fully grown Raspberry is a sweet, playful Border Collie mix puppy with a friendly and social personality. She absolutely loves squeaky toys and enjoys playtime. She does not chase cats, though she may try to engage them in play. She has had limited playtime with other dogs and is still learning how to play appropriately, but she’s making progress. Raspberry is doing well with house training—she doesn’t yet signal to go outside, but accidents are becoming less frequent as she learns her routine. She is not kennel trained and currently shows little interest in using a crate. The foster home does not have children, so her behavior around kids is unknown, but she is described as friendly, social, and outgoing. 🩺 Spay status: Not spayed (due to age) Raspberry would thrive in a home that understands puppy energy, is patient with training, and is ready to help her grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. Being fostered in Tomah Wi 🏁My adoption fee is $350 + $100 spay deposit and you can see more about the rescue at https://lastpawrescue.org. Story
Hi there, my name is Tigger! I am a 6-year-old neutered male. I am current on my vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped!! 3 words that describe me: Playful, content, loyal. Things Tiggers foster has to say about him: A very low key and easy boy. He gets along great with our dogs and is very respectful of our cats. He bonds very quickly with new people and will be your constant shadow. He would prefer to sleep in bed with his people but has settled for a crate next to the bed. He can be nervous/unsure in new situations and seeks reassurance from his people. Tigger is incredibly affectionate, giving hugs and kisses and he’ll nudge your hand if you’re not providing enough pets. He’s very content to spend all day lounging around when needed which is great since nobody wants to be outside in this weather! Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 6 or 7/10 Housetraining Status: With a consistent routine, my foster mom says I am fully potty trained! I should do well in a home: Due to my timid personality, any children in my potential home will need to be 8 years or older. I am required to meet any and all dogs in the household before adoption. I ignored the cats in my previous home. My favorite activities are: Going for walks, playing fetch, and cuddling! Things I need work on are: My foster says I'm already pretty perfect but, I am a smart guy and could always learn new tricks! Any special needs: N/A Doggy day out notes: "Tigger did super on his DD outing! He loved being out and exploring the great outdoors! He is a bit shy but once he warms up to you, which is quick, your his favorite person and loves your company! I have no doubt that he will thrive in a home setting. Love this boy💙" "Tigger was the best boy. He didn’t bark or jump on people or anything. Tigger did amazing. He was such a well trained, good dog." "Tigger did amazing on his DD outing! Such a sweet, mellow boy. He loved to be back at the house just lounging & napping but when it was time for a walk he was excited! He loves being out on walks! Tigger likes quiet, calm places to hang out at with little to no activity so he thoroughly enjoyed time spent at the house. Tigger is a bit shy but once he warms up to you he loves being near you enjoying your company. Love this little guy and he will make a very nice addition to a home💙" My adoption fee is: $300 *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Greetings, my name is Garth! I'm a 3-year-old male border collie mix. I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, neutered, and microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Sweetheart, Smart, Playful Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I'm a loving guy who greets the world with a smile! I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but it doesn't take me too long to warm up to them. I'm super playful and love toys of all kinds, though I seem to favor balls. With that being said I am a hard chewer so I will need some strong toys! Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 6 or 7/10 Housetraining Status: I have been good at keeping my kennel clean, although it may take me some time to adjust to a new schedule. I should do well in a home: I will need to meet any dogs in my potential home before adoption. I should do well with children of all ages given proper supervision. My friends at CRHS are unsure how I'd do with cats. My favorite activities are: Playing with toys!!!! I love cuddling my humans and getting affection from them as well. Things I need work on are: I could use a little more work with my basic commands and leash walking. Any special needs: N/A Doggy day out notes: "Garth did well with everything and everyone he encountered. He was neutral to everything around him, we even walked past a large group of ducks and he just looked and kept walking. His leash walking skills are great! He doesn’t pull and is easily redirected. He seems to be handler focused for the amount of time that we got to know him, and eager to please. He LOVED the flirt pole, we played with that for a while and he was super excited the whole time. Garth did so well overall and I think he’d be great in just about any home. He was so content hanging out, but willing to get up and run around/play too!" "Garth did so well today. He settled right in and played with some toys and napped. We went for a walk around riverside park and to pearl street books where he enjoyed meeting all the new people. I really enjoyed spending the afternoon with him and I know he will make an excellent companion for someone!" "Garth is truly a special little guy! He needs to build some confidence and is definitely a little nervous at times, but he warms up to people really quick and is super affectionate and becomes very mellow when he gets pets and belly scratches. He is very smart and highly trainable! Was almost 100% with Sit and lay down and we started practicing “look at me!” on walks which he was very receptive to and by the end of the day he would look at me to check in whenever a new person entered. He does need a bit of leash training but was pulling less by the end of the day. He is playful and has energy but was also very calm and patient just hanging out in my office for a while!" "Garth was awesome! Liked riding in the truck, hiking, and playing in the dog park. Interacted well with everything and everyone we encountered. Listened well and walked on leash without pulling, and loved being outside. Very loving easy-going personality. A joy to be around." "Garth is a super fun and energetic dog that likes to play on the snow. He walks really really well, and enjoys the car. He does play rough with his toys, I saw that he has a hard toy only sign on his kennel after I dropped him off again. He is a sweet boy and like to cuddle when he is ready to rest." Daycare Status: N/A My adoption fee is: $300 Training Requirement if applicable: N/A *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal
