Story
Duke came up to the house as a stray about a year ago. He is loyal, loving, and a good watchdog. He loves being outside. He is Walker Tree Hound mix and looks like a Blue Tick Coon Hound. We have 5 dogs and that is just way too many mouths to feed. Duke is about 2 years old, is house broken and is very trainable.

Story
Momma Wynette has finished her job of raising cute, adorable puppies and now it is her turn to find her safe, loving home! She is a very shy/timid and nervous girl that will need a very quiet home with adopters who are patient and willing  to work with her to gain trust and confidence. She enjoys the company of another dog - especially if confident to follow their lead.  Because she startles at noises and fast movements, she will require a home with a secured fenced yard as her first instinct is to run if scared. She is very sweet, but just scared. She is estimated to be 2-3 years old years old and approximately 30 lbs. We always recommend obedience training for all dogs!                **Breed or size (once fully grown) is a 'best guess' and is not guaranteed since they arrived into rescue without either parent.  * *Magnificent Mutts is an all foster home based rescue and meets are held by appointment with the entire family in attendance. Please ensure your current pets are up to date with vetting, have landlord/HOA approval and are prepared to take your new family member home at the adoption appointment.  If you are interested in adoption, please complete the "Application to Adopt" which can be accessed from this link: (       www.magnificentmutts.org      )  No phone calls please, emails only. Story
This is an extremely good looking purebred Redbone Coonhound. He is 100% Redbone DNA tested. But he ain't gonna hunt. Louie is gun shy (fireworks, thunder, guns, backfires). He wants to curl up in his crate when he hears these things. He likes to follow a scent, just around and around in circles. He likes to tree things, unfortunately our two cats are included in this. Louie was found abandoned on a rural road in central TN in the midst of fast moving traffic. The vet thought he had been tossed from a truck due to his road rash. He was emaciated and afraid. He had obviously been beaten and had never lived in a house. His crate was his only safe place. But with nearly 2 years of fostering, Louie is now a quiet and calm, well socialized dog. In fact, if you are looking for a second dog, he might be ideal. But he needs a huge yard, a young family who will work with him and NO CATS. We are retired and have cats. He has many skills and we can provide a resume for him with more details.

Story
We adopted Reese when he was a few months old. He was born on April 1st of 2019. We gravitated towards him because we had just lost our first dog and Reese looked similar to him. Since going back to work, there has been less and less time to offer him. He needs to be with a family who has more space in their house and a family that is home more often than ours. He is a big time snuggler and thinks he is a lap dog. He loves children of all ages and stays within his household perimeters without a leash. He gets along great with cats and is friendly towards other dogs while on walks. I truly hope Reese finds a forever home because we can't continue to take care of him the way he deserves.

Story
We adopted this sweet boy in August 2018 when he was just three months old. Chip was great with my two small children. He quickly won over our hearts with his sweetness, cleverness and his endless desire to share his toys. When we decided to adopt another dog in Aug. 2021, he adjusted to his new brother just fine. His brother was 3 months old and a pitbull terrier mix. But as his brother grew bigger, Chip’s behavior changed. Chip did not like to share his toys or treats, and displayed signs of dominance and aggression towards his brother that would oftentimes result in fights. On top of that, there was a major change in our household when I split from my partner last year, and this exacerbated the divisiveness between his fur brother. In my kids’ best interest, it is with a heavy heart to have to try to find a new home for Chip, as we feel he would thrive best as a sole dog where he can truly display his fierce loyalty and lovability for years to come. ❤️
