Story
Ringo is about 4 years old. We took him in when his person passed away. Ringo is currently working on his weight loss journey (76lbs ) and is already seeing great progress with his foster mom's coaching and daycare play time. He enjoys walks and playing tug with his toys and is doing well with the other dogs in his foster home. Little kids and cats are unknown at this time. Ringo is available through Guardians of the Green Mile (www.gotgm.org) of Portage, IN. Application can be found here: https://www.jotform.us/form/43196636952162Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet from Guardians of the Green Mile Inc. We are a group of individuals that have come together to save the lives of animals that are in danger of being euthanized. We raise funds to fully vet the animals and to provide them with a stable home until they are adopted. All of the dogs in our Rescue are in Foster homes while they are looking for their forever family. The only time we put a dog in boarding is for a Foster to go on vacation if another Foster is not able to care for them. We appreciate your taking the time to fill out the application to adopt one of our Guardians of the Green Mile pets. The questions that we ask are to only find the right fit for all of our dogs and the families that will be adopting them. Adoption donation is $300.00 for dogs over 1 year old and $350 with a $50.00 spay / neuter deposit for puppies/dogs under 1 year old. Story
Meet Jasper. I adopted him in 2019 he’s a coonhound lab mix. Looking for a loving and kind home for him, he’s 6 years old but is still as playful as he was as a puppy. Loves going on new adventures hiking , going in the lake but unfortunately I don’t have the time I used to have for him. I recently had my first baby and he just deserves someone who has the time to invest into him. He’s house trained, never used a crate. Needs someone who loves snuggles.

Story
*SABLE IS ADOPTED!* Are you ready to meet the pup of your dreams? If yes, Pal's Place would love to introduce Sable, an incredibly affectionate and social gal with more love to give than you can imagine. This tender-hearted and loyal girl will be your best friend and steadfast companion for life, and she's eager to meet you! Sable adores people and other dogs, and is a friendly face to every human and canine she meets. She was rescued from an overwhelmed animal control facility in rural Kentucky, along with her six littermates, when they were just eight weeks old. Shelters and rescues across the US are facing a crisis: adoption rates have slowed considerably over the past 18 months, while surrenders and intake numbers have risen. In previous years, puppies in shelters and rescues were usually adopted quickly, often as soon as they became available. Unfortunately, in the past year, it has become more common than not for friendly, adoptable dogs, including puppies, to stay in shelters or foster homes for many months before finding a family. As victims of this current shelter and rescue crisis, Sable and two of her remaining littermates, who will turn a year old in mid-March, have grown up in foster care, waiting for their forever homes. These sweet pups are more than ready and eager to find the loving, forever families they deserve. Sable is close to 60 pounds now and still growing. We expect she'll weigh between 75 and 90 pounds when fully grown. A DNA test on two littermates reveals their breed mix as 35% Bluetick Coonhound, 27% German Shepherd, 23% Husky, and 15% Staffordshire Terrier. She's doing well with housebreaking and is crate trained, but she’s still a pup learning the ropes. Potential adopters should be prepared to continue her basic training and obedience. She's smart as a whip and eager to please, making training sessions fun and enjoyable. Sable is a dog with heart and spirit, curious about the world, and always ready for new adventures. She will make a wonderful and loyal companion for an active family! Sable is fostered in Chicago, and meet-and-greets are by appointment only after an adoption application has been received and approved. For more information or to apply, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com or visit our website at palsplacerescue.org. Sable's adoption fee is $475 (now reduced to $300 thanks to a generous sponsorship). This fee helps cover her medical expenses while in our care. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and on monthly flea and heartworm preventives. All of our dogs live in foster homes, and meetings are scheduled by appointment only after we have approved an adoption application. For more details or to apply, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com. *Please note* we cannot hold dogs for more than three days after an application has been received and approved for a meeting. Please do not apply unless you are ready to welcome a dog into your home within three days of applying. ADOPTION APPLICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE FROM THE RESCUE MAY END UP IN YOUR SPAM OR JUNK FOLDER. If you are waiting for our reply, please check those folders regularly. **Sable's adoption fee is $475 (now reduced to $300), which helps cover necessary medical care to prepare her for adoption. Story
Lady is being fostered in TX. HI! I am delighted that you are interested in knowing more about me! I am about 3 months old*. My absolute passions are EAT, MOVE and Cuddle! In fact, among my many super pawers is my super sense of smell, so I became highly excited when smelling delicious foods around me! My foster mamma and I are working hard to learn how to harness this super power! My second super power is my high level of energy and my strong curiosity, I guess that makes three super powers, isn’ it? If you don’t give me a job to do, I will find it on my own! So it is very important for me that you become my guiding light. Yet, I also want you to be soft and cuddle with me in quiet times, since I actively look for bonding, reassurance, and safety. I am good with kiddos, but I will prefer kiddos 6+ since I - for now - get excited and might scratch them by accident. Also, I highly benefit from tolerant and playful siblings who can help me balance when the puppyhood zoomies come! Did I tell you that I am already potty trained? YUP!!! I am proudly potty trained. Regarding my eyes, I have Microphthalmia which “is a congenital condition where one or both eyeballs are abnormally small” on my right eye. My foster momma is seeing a little cloudiness on my left eye*, so I am going to visit an eye specialist in mid August. However, I have not presented any issue navigating the house, jumping the stairs, or avoiding any obstacles in the backyard. I am sure my foster momma will update any relevant info after our appointment. Are you ready to love me? * By the time of this writing on July 2nd. BDRA has voted against the use of eletrical fencing effective immediately.
