This dog will be available for adoption on Saturday, May 11th from 12pm-4pm at the YMCA's healthy kids day event (Riverscape Metropark - 237 E Monument Ave) We recommend filling out an application ahead of time at: https://hsdayton.org/adopt/adoption-application/ All adoptions are done on a first come, first approved basis after meeting the animal at the event. Meet Agatha, the charming senior lady with a heart of gold, eagerly waiting to find her perfect forever home! Agatha's journey brought her from a high intake shelter to our loving care at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton. Despite her past, Agatha's spirit remains unshakeable, radiating warmth and tranquility. As a hound, Agatha's passion lies in the thrill of exploration. With her keen nose and curious eyes, she delights in long walks and outdoor adventures, reveling in the wonders of nature. Dodger is one cool hound dog! Just look at that face! Dodger is smart and sweet but sassy and stubborn.  He is slowly learning commands but just wants to play and be goofy all the time. Meet Waylon! Waylon found himself at a rural shelter after roaming as a stray for several months. He is timid but very sweet with people, good with dogs and cats.He is estimated to be 2-3 years old and appears to be a Redbone Coonhound.Waylon is a great dog that is doing well in his foster home. He loves the other dogs, he has adjusted well to indoor living. He is house trained and his family adores him.Waylon is available for adoption via ricopetrecovery.org. Adoption fee is $250.

This beautiful, dainty girl is a survivor. She and her brother Clyde have been on their own for far too long, running stray on the rural highways of northwestern Ohio for several months, growing increasingly emaciated, and too scared to allow anyone to bring them to safety. They both had to be humanely trapped and have found a loving, safe foster home with the kind folks who worked so hard to get them safe. Bonnie and her brother Clyde are doing so well now—they’ve slowly and steadily gained weight, are eating without the desperate voraciousness we first observed, are now up to date on vaccines, negative for heartworm and tick-borne illness, and on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventive. Both also have been fixed and microchipped. They are awesome dogs, good-natured and gentle, who have gotten along well with other dogs, cats, horses, and strangers. They both still are easily frightened by any new stimuli in their environment—loud noises, for example--but are getting better every day. They love attention and long walks. In a perfect world, Bonnie and Clyde would find a home together. If that's not possible, another dog in the home is desired. A physically fenced yard is preferred. Bonnie is available for adoption in Ohio to residents of Ohio.
