Story
Meet Mochi (2 yrs, Neutered Male)   Breed: Welsh Corgi Mix Color: Brown / White Weight: 15 kg Height: 29 cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story Mochi was rescued from a city shelter where he was scheduled for euthanasia. He is now safe and ready for his second chance at a loving home.     ‍ Human Socialization Mochi is extremely affectionate and social. He approaches both familiar people and strangers with confidence, leans in for attention, and even happily jumps into the arms of people he meets on walks.   He is comfortable with both men and women. He has not been tested with young children under 13, but he allows being lifted and will show his belly once he trusts you.     Dog Socialization Mochi greets both known and unfamiliar dogs politely and confidently. He’s more into chasing and exploring than group play, and he often prefers doing his own thing — sniffing, running around, or checking out the environment.   He gets along best with medium or larger dogs, or those similar in size to him.   Cats When encountering outdoor cats, he showed little reaction. A formal cat test can be arranged.   Energy Level As a Welsh Corgi mix, he has a naturally active personality. He loves running, exploring, and seeking human attention. As long as his energy needs and desire for engagement are understood, he is easy to manage.   Walks He pulls on the leash at times, but overall follows his handler well. He is confident even on busy streets and enjoys walks in all environments.   Other Behaviors • No resource guarding toward people or dogs • Food motivated, so mealtime supervision is helpful • Not separation-anxious, but dislikes confinement and may bark when restricted • In a kennel, he mostly whines • Currently uses both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty Apply to Foster or Adopt at www.adoptmekr.org Please also visit our Facebook or Instagram. Currently in Korea — available for adoption to Canada/US ##2595809##

Story
🐾 Hi there! I’m Eunchoong — your future best friend 💛 I’m an 8-month-old girl, a lovely mix of Welsh Corgi and Jindo, and I weigh about 8 kg. Everyone says my coat is really special — I’ve got unique, tiger-like patterns that make me stand out. But I promise, my personality shines even brighter! ✨ I was rescued from a dog farm along with my mom and siblings. We were so lucky to be saved before being separated, and one of my brothers is now living happily in Canada! I’m still waiting for my own happy ending — maybe it’s with you? 🏡💕 I’m a playful, curious, and affectionate pup who loves people so much. Even in new places, I try my best to adjust quickly because I believe every new face could be a friend. I’m still in my puppy stage, learning about the world and how to live happily with humans. With your love and gentle guidance, I’ll grow into the most loyal and loving companion. Right now, I live in a shelter, so I haven’t fully mastered outdoor potty training yet. But I’m smart and eager to learn! With a consistent routine, regular walks, and lots of encouragement, I’ll get the hang of it in no time. 🐕‍🦺 Because I grew up with my mom and siblings, I have a big heart and lots of love to give. At first, I might feel a little unsure in a new home, but once I know I’m safe and loved, I’ll open up completely — and you’ll see just how affectionate I can be. 💗 I’m looking for a forever family who can give me patience, kindness, and the stability I need to thrive. I may be small now, but my heart is full of love that’s just waiting to be shared with you. Will you be the one to give me my forever home? 🏠💕 With puppy kisses, Eunchoong

Story
🐾 Hello, I’m Bombom — a gentle boy ready for a brand-new beginning. I’m a Welsh Corgi–Spitz mix boy, about 7.2kg, with a small but sturdy body and soft white fur that everyone notices right away. People say I have a cozy, comforting look — the kind that makes you want to smile when you see me. In February 2024, I was rescued from a place where dogs were being slaughtered. Three of us were saved that day… and I am one of the lucky ones. Because of where I came from, people worried I might be afraid of humans. But surprisingly, I’m not. I love people — truly. If you call my name, I’ll trot over with my tail wagging, hoping for affection. I enjoy attention and I have a sweet, gentle heart that just wants to be loved. I get along naturally with other dogs and have a calm, easygoing social nature. I’m also great on walks — steady, relaxed, and lovely to walk beside. Being outdoors with someone I trust feels peaceful and happy. I’m more than ready to be cared for, cherished, and loved. Now, I’m waiting for a forever family who can give me a safe, warm place to spend the rest of my life. Please give a new beginning to a soft-hearted boy like me — a boy with fur as white and gentle as his heart. 🤍🌿 With love, Bombom 🐶

Story
Heya everybody!! My name is Tun Tun and here is some info about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Corgi Mix Age: 2 yrs 1 month approx Gender: Male  Weight: 13 lbs (5.9 kg)  Height: 34 cm (paws to top of my head) Length: 53 cm (head to butt) Current Location: South Korea RESCUE STORY - I was staying at the very overcrowded Gimje City Shelter in Korea, along with some other doggos. This was not very comfortable for me as the shelter kept us in small cages and some of the doggos often got sick. I really longed for some space to stretch my legs and some hoomans I could love on! Thankfully, as a Thanksgiving gift, some peoples rescued me right before the holidays and brought me to another (better!) shelter where I have been patiently waiting for my own hooman family to take me home. I hope that could be you! TEMPERAMENT - I am a super affectionate, friendly and easygoing companion! I just need to get a little comfortable with a hooman first so I may be wary to start with. However it doesn't take long for me to come out of my shell and once I do you'll get alllll the hugs and kisses! I also get along well with other pups and I enjoy playing with them. My rescuers say that I interact smoothly and read social cues well. I do very much enjoy spending my time resting and looking out the window, however you can really perk my ears by getting some treats out as I am very food-motivated!  ENERGY LEVEL - Medium  GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Unknown. I haven't been around children before! Dogs – Yes! I get along and play with other pups very well! Cats – Unknown.  PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – Good. I enjoy going on walks and I do well in a martingale collar. I will sometimes stop for to sniff here and there but if I hear a hooman calling me, I will come! I may bark a little bit at strangers but once I get the chance to take a sniff of them, I calm down right away. I will need an adopter who is happy to work with me on my leash manners. A well-fitted harness and some dedicated leash training will help set me up for success!  House trained – Work in progress. Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn housetraining in my new home :) I have been known to do a bit of marking at the beginning to set my territory but once I am used to the place, I don't do it. Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES: I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records. I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying to Canada. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD ($750.00 CAD + 5% GST and 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and its adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.  WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.  ##2589792##

Story
Hello Everyone. My name is Eidden and here is a little info about me: Breed: Corgi & Anatolian ShepherdAge: 2.5 years oldGender: FemaleWeight: 21 kgHeight: Between 43–48 cmCountry of origin: TurkeyHighlight(s): Cuddly, loyal, joyful, playful, and affectionate, also likes quiet time  My story began in the most heartbreaking way. While driving on the highway, rescuers witnessed me being thrown out of a moving car. I was terrified, running in panic as cars rushed by. Thankfully, they stopped and reached me just in time — that moment changed my life forever. I was abandoned to die, but I was saved with love and care.Since that day, I’ve been fully vetted, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. I’m now healthy, happy, and ready for my forever home! I’m a loving, joyful, and affectionate girl who lives for human attention. I adore cuddles, belly rubs, and treats — they make me the happiest pup!  I’m also smart and eager to please, which makes training fun and rewarding. I learned to sit in just two minutes! I jump, wiggle, and celebrate every bit of love I receive.  I’d thrive in an active, loving, but also calm home - maybe with a person or family who enjoys walks, adventures, and playtime.  I get along well with other dogs, but not tested yet with cats. Probably for sure with older kids, as not tested with younger ones yet.  I would love a home where I can be part of the person or family's daily life and feel safe and loved.   More vids: https://youtube.com/shorts/K29X6Xf3-uE https://youtube.com/shorts/nU8HT-6B1y0 https://youtube.com/shorts/TeK87Q6GmtI Energy Level: Moderate  I get along with: Dogs: Yes, but best around calm dogs.  I can get agitated around dogs showing aggressive or defensive behaviours.Cats: Unknown, but maybe not as I do have some natural prey drive for my breed.Kids: I love kids and all people, but older children may be better. Fears: I am super friendly, but am still settling in to my new surroundings.I may need some time in my new place as well - some patience and love. Training: I’m food-motivated and quick to learn!Leash skills: Yes, I know how to walk nicely on a leash with no pulling.  I am very aware looking up and around at my surroundings.House trained: Yes, but may need initial monitoring in a new environment. Health notes: Healthy Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. ##2567833##

Story
Hello, everyone!  I'm a vibrant 3-ish year old corgi mix and my name is Beene, affectionately known as Benny Boy by humans.  I can't stop smiling since I arrived in Canada in December 2023!  I have been fortunate to live with caring foster families who've helped me settle into my new life.  As a special-needs dog requiring diapers/belly bands for indoors, I am looking for an understanding and patient a person/family able to commit to my long-term care.  I'm a lively pup with lots of energy, endless love to give, and excitement for what is to come!  Breed: Corgi/Canaan DogAge: 3.5 yrsGender: MaleWeight: 45 lbsEnergy Level: moderateCountry of origin: Middle East                                                                                                                                                                                       Highlight(s): Special needs, energetic, affectionate, gentle                                                                                                                                                                                  Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoption fee is by donation.  Ideal home - Caring and patient human(s) understanding of his incontinence and able to change belly bands/diapers. Benny's story - Born in a small village in the Middle East, Benny’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. At just one month old, he was found whimpering alone under a tree. With his mother and littermates nowhere to be found. A kind human brought him to a shelter, where he spent 1.5 years sharing a small space with other dogs. Despite the challenges, Benny’s resilience and sweet personality shone through, eventually earning him a ticket to a new life in British Columbia. Benny has met several foster families who've cared for him deeply, and where he had the opportunity to live with other dogs, which he got along very well with.  Personality - Benny is a true sweetheart who lives for human affection. He’s known for gently placing his paw on your arm or leg as if to say, “It’s time for pets!” His soulful eyes are guaranteed to melt your heart. Though Benny can be a little timid when meeting new humans (especially men), he warms up quickly with patience and kindness. In fact, his current male foster won him over in just five minutes! Benny is a fast learner, eager to please, and very food-motivated, making training a breeze. He’s gentle, has no resource guarding, and is great with kids.Benny thrives in the company of playful canine friends and would love a home with another dog or access to regular dog park outings. He does not have any documented separation anxiety so he is fine to be left alone for a few hours. Special Needs - Benny’s incontinence issue is likely neurological (undiagnosed). He signals when he needs to go outside for bowel movements but struggles with bladder control; managed indoors with belly bands. A home with a fenced yard would be ideal to provide him space to run, play, and explore while making bathroom breaks easier for everyone.                               Fears: Some loud noises such as busy traffic can spook Benny. Please be patient assisting me in my transition. Energy Level: moderate I get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknown (has been cautiously curious from a distance)Kids: yes Training: understands and responds to his name.  Knows a few basic commands.  Please help me learn!Leash skills: some.  Please be prepared to train me/continue training.House trained: No. Incontinence problems.  Typically signals at the door when needing to release bowels. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess. Loved at Last Dog Rescue is not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##1675200##
