Story
Meet Wilson, a 7 year old 35lb Corgi/Shepherd mix. He was rescued from the horrors of the Yulin Dog Meat trade and waited years for his chance to come to the US. Now that he's here and acclimated to normal household living, he is ready for his forever home! His ideal home would have a canine companion and a yard for him to explore! A bit about Wilson: :Behavior: Initially fearful, Wilson warms up to familiar faces, and though he may not readily accept pets, his wagging tail speaks volumes. He's a social butterfly with other dogs, radiating excitement and joy. Limited interactions with children and other species, but friendly with familiar dogs. Leash Manners: Wilson walks on a leash with enthusiasm and calmness, he'd make a great walking partner! Alone Time: House-trained and comfortable alone for about 4 hours at a time. Favorite Pastimes: Enjoys walks, lounging on the couch or bed, and thrives when surrounded by other dogs. Personality: Initially reserved, Wilson transforms into a more open and trusting companion once he establishes a bond. He is a low energy dog, which makes for an easygoing furry friend! Areas to Improve: Given his traumatic history, Wilson could use a patient human who is open to working on socializing with people and building trust. Take a chance on him and you won't regret it! If you see me online I am still available for adoption! If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application here: www.hitlivingfoundation.org/adoption-application, and email a video walkthrough of your home and yard to adoptions@hitlivingfoundation.org. Your application will not be counted as valid without your video. You will hear back from us within a few days.

Story
Snoop (left, male, 4 years old, corgi mix, 26 lbs) and Martha (right, female, 4 years old, pomeranian, 15 lbs) were rescued from a horribly neglectful owner who left them in a busted shack (for pics check out our IG @SamsonsSanctuary), only bringing them food and water every so often. We were able to rescue them, get them spayed/neutered, and now they are being treated for heartworms. Once their treatment is complete they will be ready for their freedom flights! We would love to find a home for them together but will consider separate homes if its the pawfect match! Wont you be their safe place to land? They need either fosters or adopters to fly! Apply today!

Story
Hi I'm Miss toad the wet sprocket! So nice to meet you! I'm a delightful 10 year old 26 lb gal looking for a forever best friend! I was very neglected by my previous person who was, sadly, unhoused and not mentally well. The rescue humans saw me at the shelter and scooped me up. I am looking and feeling so much better now I am good with dogs but can easily fly solo. No cats for me. Sorry cats. I can't wait to meet you *please note All of our dogs are in private foster homes. Once you fill out an application it will be screened by our volunteer adoption team. From there, if your application looks like a good fit for the particular dog, it will be sent to the foster where you can ask all the questions you would like and schedule a meet and greet. We do not transport our dogs. If you apply from out of state we do request you come to Los Angeles to meet us and fly home in cabin or drive. www.apurposefulrescue.org
