Story
#A5782770 Chato is a 2-year-old male Corgi mix with an adorable long body, short legs, and an irresistibly unique look. Surrendered by his owner due to a bite, but Chato is a sweet boy who's still adjusting to shelter life. 🤎 Chato can be a little nervous at first, especially on a leash, but he's friendly with people and enjoys gentle affection once he feels safe. He knows "sit," shows signs of being housebroken, and has a nice medium energy level. Chato is happiest with calm dogs and would thrive in a patient, adult-only home where he can build confidence and trust at his own pace. He's currently being treated for minor medical issues and will go home on a health waiver. -2 years old, male -Corgi mix -Owner surrender due to behavioral issues -Nervous but friendly -Knows "sit", shows signs of housebreaking -Medium energy -Best with calm dogs -Adult-only home recommended -Ready for a patient, loving family 🐾 CHATO’S VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/QGK9bRU94nw For more information, contact volunteer Lor at lor@unitedhopeforanimals.org Photo Credit: Rafael Diaz United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals. Story
🐾 Meet Willie 🐶 Name: Willie 🐕 Breed: Welsh Corgi 🎂 Age: Approximately 3–4 years old ⚖️ Weight: 9 kg (20 lbs) ♂️ Gender: Male (Neutered) 💉 Vaccinated: Yes Current location: S.Korea 👨‍👩‍👧 People Willie is very friendly with people. Even complete strangers can pet him in the elevator, and he'll happily wag his tail and enjoy the attention. 🧒Kids: He has not lived with young children, but he has never shown any aggression toward children he has met during walks. 🐕 Dogs Wilie is indifferent in other dogs, he is focused on people. If another dog barks aggressively at him, he usually chooses to avoid the situation. 🐱 Cats Unknown. Willie has never lived with cats. But he doesnt have prey drive ✅ No separation anxiety. He is not destructive when left alone. In fact, he seems to enjoy having some quiet time to himself. ✅ Food Willie enjoys food but has excellent manners. He has shown no signs of food or toy guarding. ✅Walking Willie absolutely loves going for walks and prefers to potty outdoors. He currently goes outside at least twice a day (morning and evening) ✅Crate Although he has never had formal crate training, Willie is comfortable going into a crate and even sleeps there voluntarily. ✅Barking Willie is a very quiet dog. The only time he usually barks is when he gets excited before going out for a walk. ✅Handling & Grooming Willie enjoys being petted, especially belly rubs and gentle forehead scratches. He also doesn't particularly enjoy being picked up. Early on, he would struggle when lifted by unfamiliar people, but after building trust with his foster family, he became much more comfortable with it. ✅Escape Risk Willie is not a dog that tries to run away. However, because he is naturally cautious, loud noises such as construction sounds or heavy metal doors slamming may startle him in unfamiliar environments. If that happens, he may try to move toward a place where he feels safe. As long as his leash is securely held, this is easy to manage. Calm reassurance or gently holding him helps him recover quickly. ❤️ Personality Willie is a calm, gentle, and independent boy. He enjoys spending time with people but is also perfectly happy relaxing by himself. When left alone, he usually finds a cool, comfortable spot and naps peacefully. Although he has a playful side and enjoys tug games and walks, he has a naturally low-to-medium energy level and would fit best with a calm household. ❤️ Ideal Home Willie would do best with a calm family that appreciates his gentle, thoughtful personality. He enjoys companionship but is not clingy, making him a wonderful match for someone looking for an easygoing, independent dog. Because he loves outdoor potty breaks and daily walks, his ideal family should be able to take him outside every morning and evening. Willie is a careful and sensitive soul who may be startled by sudden loud noises outdoors, but with a patient and reassuring owner, he quickly regains his confidence. If you're looking for a sweet, well-mannered companion who is quiet, affectionate, and easy to live with, Willie may be the perfect addition to your family. ❤️

Story
Meet Bo! Bo is a 5-year-old All-American mutt — somewhere between a Corgi and a dachshund, about 30 pounds of pure personality. He’s playful, energetic, and extremely affectionate, and he’s looking for an active person to play with, go on long walks, and maybe hit the dog park together. Bo is a friendly guy, but when he picks you, he is fiercely loyal. He bonds deeply with his person, which means he needs an adopter willing to work with him on feeling secure — he can be protective of the people he loves. His foster parents have seen significant improvement with consistent training and patience, so this is very workable with the right match. Bo would fit best with: •Adults comfortable working with a bonded, loyal dog • A calm, predictable home environment • Someone who loves being active — walks, play, outdoor adventures • Someone ready to commit to ongoing training A few things to know: • In his first weeks home, keep things low-key — no parties or big introductions while he’s settling in. • Bo does well with other dogs in the home. • His protectiveness is tied to his person and responds well to training. He has shown leash aggression, but this is improving with assertive human leadership. Bo is fixed and up to date on vaccines. He does not use pee pads because he knows not to pee or poop inside the house. He is crate-trained. Why he’s worth the wait: Bo is affectionate, playful, funny, cuddly, and happy. He’s had a rough go of it, spending time in a high-kill shelter, and he’s a sensitive soul who just needs someone to commit to him the way he will commit to them.

Story
Look no further - we've found the Best Burrito in LA! Our handsome and sweet boy Burrito was rescued (with his four babies - Ceviche, Salsa, Enchilada and Taquito) from horrible neglect and physical abuse. He spent the first 6 or 7 year of his life chained up outside of a factory in South Korea where he spent his days in fear of his abusers. But he is safe now and thriving! As soon as we rescued Burrito, we took him to the vet where he was treated for heartworm, and he's now a healthy and happy little hunk. He recently took his freedom flight from Korea to LA and is loving life in his first ever foster home. Despite his past, Burrito is a super low-maintenance and chill dude! He loves to relax in the house, hang on the porch and watch the world go by, and get all the treats and love. Whoever adopts this low-riding dude is going to be so lucky! Apply to adopt this papa pup today! **We have adopted many dogs to out-of-area, state, and even international homes! We usually require that the approved applicants come to meet their new dog in Los Angeles and transport them home. Most of our out of area families make a fun road trip of it!
