Story
Hey everyone! Meet pinky! Her former name was cruella but she didn’t respond to it. A few weeks ago we were contacted by another rescue about a dog sitting at a vet clinic waiting to be euthanized by the owner. The dog was labeled as not potty trained and snapped at her owner, being a dachshund corgi mix its behavior we typically expect and can handle so we said we would take her if the vet would hang onto her for a few days. Pinky has been nothing short of the complete opposite of why she was going to be euthanized. Pinky (the reason we call her pinky is because she was bald in many places due to flea allergies and yeast infections her owner didn’t care for) has not had a single accident in her foster home or in her crate at her foster home. She has been excellent with the other dogs of all sizes, the young children, and the kitties in the home. We do believe her owner was struggling financially and had to make up excuses as to why the euthanasia was necessary, but due to pinky’s condition it was obvious she had not been cared for in a long while. Pinky is a 3 year old corgi dachshund mix and weighs about 25 pounds. She is quiet and well behaved. She LOVES men. We can’t stress it enough that pinky loves men. She does growl a little at her foster mom but nothing past a small growl but totally lights up at her foster dad and the boy children in the home. Her best fit for a home would be with a single man, or a man who does have a woman in his life that doesn’t care pinky will never prefer her, or obviously an amazing gay couple who wants a sweet neglected girl to love on who will return that love tenfold. Pinky would be an amazing fit for almost any type of home, she just prefers men over women. Adoption donation fee is $200 which it is tax-deductible and goes towards the care of homeless pets with Unchained Souls Canine Rescue. To expedite the adoption process you can send us a message at Unchained Souls Canine Rescue on Facebook to request an application or you can email us at unchainedsoulscaninerescue@yahoo.com and we will happily send you one! Story
Meet Sunny....... Sunny came to rescue as a breeder surrender. She is the absolute sweetest and most gentle girl ever. When we received the call about her we were furious!!! Yes we get several calls from breeders to retire their breeders, however when we learned her age our hearts broke for her. She has lived her life producing puppies for profit. Responsible breeding, if there is such thing.....is suppose to end at the latest of 6 years. This just tells us that the mill did not care about her and was just filling their pockets. We are thankful she was able to get out even at the age of 8 years. Sunny was dirty and covered in fleas and had sores around her neck from a chain type ID collar that was to small on her. She has been with us for well over a month now here in rescue and has of course had her bath and the freedom of just being loved and being cared for. She is a happy and loving little girl and absolutely loves to be petted and follow us around. Sunny faithfully uses her doggy door out the adopt center to go potty in her play yard. She will need a fenced yard in her new home as she has never been on a leash or even gone for a walk. Since Sunny has been with us she runs and plays and feels safe here. She has the freedom of a big fenced yard and will zoom around excited, then she comes to use for loves. She is spunky and can be playful like the typical corgi. She is also very loyal to us already. We have not had Sunny to our vet yet as we have let her settle in and just "be a dog" with no responsibilities of caring for babies being handled roughly. If there is any interest in her adoption we will at that time make it top priority to have her fully vetted. If tou are interested in the adoption of Sunny please email us to request an application.

Story
Winston is a loving pet and needs great attention. We purchased Winston 6 years ago when our son was going through a rough patch. Our son has since graduated from college and rarely home. My wife and I are on separate schedules and difficult to give Winston the attention he needs. A few issues he has , he is aggressive with our older male dog and even being house broke he tends to mark his territory in the house. We recently moved our grand daughter home and he is too aggressive with her.

Story
Arlo is playful, energetic, and silly. He loves to be with his humans either playing or cuddling. His favorite things include running/chasing, swimming & the snow! Arlo and his dog brother are not able to be in the same room due to Arlo’s anxiety induced aggression. He needs to be in a home with no pets and no small children. With the help of a trainer he has made immense progress wand he is now able to go on walks with treat reinforcement ready to calm him. His ideal family would be committed to keeping his anxiety down by avoiding other animals & also help reinforce treats when he does see occasional animals on walks! He comes with 1 free training session with our trainer to help you learn more about his needs and his personality as well!

Story
Meet Squirrel!! He is believed to be 3.5 years of age Corgi JRT mix. Who has overcome so much already including parvo and distemper. Oh boy has he been a very slow progress project dog.He came to us spring of 2016 after his receiving rescue who pulled him from TEXAS refuse to take owner ship of the 5 dogs due to fearful behaviors presented upon intake. Since, his whole family of 5 dogs all adopted except him. He is still making steady continue process. Squirrel is extremely sweet but lacks confidence and social skills, when it come to moving forward with change. He can easily become unsure and any confidence plummets when his fear is trigger causing anxiety and unwillingness to try. He freezes in fear but that has becoming a thing from the past. We keep pushing him until he realizes there is no need to fear anything, anyone, or place. Squirrel is amazing with dogs and fact is they are crucial for his continued progress. Squirrel thrives in a pack. He continues to learn from them. Squirrel is cat friendly too and would do just fine with older mature kids who will nurture him and push him a bit more out of his comfort zone. A fenced in yard is a must, experience with dogs like him preferred, a balance pack needed. Squirrel is very food, praise, affection motivated and requires persistence paired with nurturing without pity. He needs a calm, assertive, compassionate, nurturer leader. Squirrel is house and crate trained, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, rabies, de-wormed, fecal tested negative, micro-chipped, neutered, and on monthly heart-worm flea/tick prevention. Updated: 2/1/2023 www.animalhousesanctuary.org We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.

Story
Meet Wabbit! He is believed to be a 4 year old Corgi Jack Russell mutt mix. He is just under 25 pounds. Wabbit is a special needs dog, he is epileptic and requires medication 3x a day. His seizures are controlled very well with his medication. Without his medication his seizures become continuous clusters. You see Wabbit was a distemper survivor pup, which caused the damage to his central nervous system causing him to become epileptic. Wabbit is a sweet boy who thrives to be independent. He never barks, ever. He loves to walk but if we prefer to hold him he won’t complain unless he wants to walk. He snuggles and cuddles and thrives in nurturing hands while still maintaining his independence. Wabbit is very low key, very simple, calm, lazy, independent dog. He can be a lap dog, when he wants to. As long as he is cared for, given his med's on time, and has other dogs he is happy and healthy, Wabbits epilepsy is finally under control and any potential adopters must discuss this with their vet in depth, we prefer an experienced adopter. Wabbit is on: 250mg 3x a day Phenobarbital 97.2 m 3x a day Potassium bromide 500mg daily split tab 2x a day And other supplements. Truly as long as his seizures remain in control he is a very easy dog and takes his meds like a champ. Wabbit does require specific food with rosemary extract free. Wabbit is house and crate trained, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped, neutered, and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention.
