🌟 Meet Chunk-A-Licious — Queen of Wiggles, Giggles, and Low-Rider Love! 🌟If happiness had a shape, it would look exactly like this: short, chunky, and wiggling straight toward you at full speed.Chunk-A-Licious (yes, that’s her real name and no, we wouldn’t dare change perfection) is a 4-year-old Corgi with a heart as big as her little legs are… not. She’s the kind of dog who believes every lap was created specifically for her, every hand should be petting her, and every human is her new best friend. This girl is all affection, all the time. Wiggle when you walk in? Yes. Giggle when she flops over for belly rubs? Also yes. Happily trot behind you like a curly-tailed shadow? You bet.Chunk-A-Licious is ready for her next adventure — whether that’s snuggling on the couch, supervising your snacks, or proudly wiggling her way down the hallway like she owns the place. If your heart (and your lap) have room for one very sweet, very squishy, very joyful corgi, come meet her. She’s ready to bring the smiles. 💛🐾An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt. Dog adoption fees are $200.00 for all puppies and adult dogs. Seniors are a donation of choice.Cats and kittens are a donation of choice.

If you're looking for a calm quiet companion, this could be the perfect match for you!    If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application. Story
We are seeking a new home for our sweet dog, Otis. He is a 5-year-old Corgi. We have had Otis since he was 8 weeks old. Otis is exceptionally playful and gentle. He loves going for long walks and playing outside. He is neutered and current on vaccinations. Our family which includes two small children aged 3 years and 11 months, is struggling to keep up with his needs. Otis would be better suited to a household with no children. Otis needs an experienced dog owner who can be assertive and ‘lead the pack’ as he has a dominant personality. Otis is good with other dogs but he is food aggressive so feeding separately is a must.

Story
Stub Hub Stewie came to us from a kill shelter in Indiana where he ended up by no fault of his own. This is a nice, friendly boy who is good with people & other dogs. He is very sweet & happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. His approx. birth date is 01/01/23 and he currently weighs 47# full grown. This is a sweet boy who needs a little confidence. We are guessing at his breed make up. He knows how to sit & likes to ride in the car!He has been vet. checked, neutered, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. He is also heart worm & tick born illness negative. His adoption donation is $300 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card. We do not ship or transport. Please email for an application if you would like to provide this nice kid with his forever home. ##2084886##

Story
Laszlo & Cassidy are a bonded pair and are volunteer favorites! Laszlo is a 5-year-old Corgi mix who weighs about 20 lbs. Cassidy is a 3-year-old terrier mix who weighs about 40 lbs. This duo will have your ribs hurting as you laugh at the fun when they are wrestling, playing chase and doing zoomies around the yard. Cassidy is a social butterfly and is always the first one to greet people at Waldo's Dog Dorm. She just thrives on attention and wants tons of loving. She's a very active girl who needs plenty of room to run. Cassidy loves toys and is fabulous with all other dogs and people. She was dumped at a kill shelter which is where we saved her. We have found that she becomes very anxious and fearful around children younger than 10 years of age; this has led us to believe that in her original home there were young children who didn't respect her space and pulled her fur/tail and traumatized her which is likely the reason for her being left at the shelter. Laszlo was a stray who survived at the Morgan County Fairgrounds from the time he was 6 months old until he was finally trapped at 18 months. He was totally feral when we got him and avoided people at all costs. However, this wonderful boy has learned that chest rubs and ear scratches are heavenly; Laszlo won't take treats until he is massaged and scratched; touch is his "love language" ... he craves it more than treats. Laszlo does still need continued rehabilitation after the trauma he experienced during his first year and a half of life. A quiet, loving, patient home with few visitors will be necessary for him. Because of his experience of having long choke tethers on the end of metal poles on him by animal control officers, he is still very fearful of leashes/harnesses. We will provide training techniques to whoever adopts him to help with this, but it's doubtful that her will ever be comfortable taking walks on a leash due to this past trauma. Both of these dogs have so much love to give. What you invest in them in time and love will be returned in spades! Their playfulness along with their love of being massaged & rubbed make them such wonderful family members who will bring smiles and joy to whoever adopts them. Their perfect home will have a VERY SECURE fenced-in yard, no children under 16; as well as a calm, peaceful environment with experienced dog owners who provide positive reinforcement and lots of praise. Whoever adopts Laszlo and Cassidy will be very lucky indeed! The adoption fee for the pair is $325; both are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped and kept on year-round heartworm/flea preventative.
