Story
Meet Bebe! She’s proof positive that you’re never too old to begin a new chapter. This darling girl finds herself looking for a new home because her owner is terminally ill and closest family members are allergic. At 12-13 years old and very overweight, this poses a bit of a challenge. But here's the good news, our Bebe is full of light and love and ENERGY. So we're looking at her current situation like a caterpillar in a cocoon just waiting to come out and fly. Her theme song is Patti LaBelle’s “New Attitude.” (We hope that doesn’t date us.) Currently she's a 40lb dog stuck inside a 50lb body and she's eager to shed the excess weight and start this next phase of her life. She has Cushings disease and will need to continue her medication to control it. Bebe has good house manners and has left most things alone. She plays with toys if you'll play with her and lives for belly rubs. She knows basic commands but can also be a little headstrong. She LOVES her walks or even just time meandering around the backyard. As the weight is falling off, she’s also starting zooms around the house and lots of play time. She’s definitely feeling herself! She is 99% house trained but has had a few accidents from stress. She wants to know where you are in the house and if she can't find you, she may stress pee. This has been mitigated by talking to her from wherever I am. She is also crate trained. She does well with most other dogs so far. She’s generally fine with them until they gruff at her. She’s a bit alpha in her play so would recommend pairing her with a more submissive dog. I’m excited to get to know her more and for you to join us on this journey. We'll be highlighting her weight loss journey along the way, which will be great for us both! Bebe's stats: Weight: 57lb, working her way down to 40 Age: 12-13 years Good with kids: Yes Good with other dogs: Some Good with cats: Unknown Fenced yard required: No OK for townhouse or apartment: Yes House trained: Mostly Crate trained: Yes Barks when left alone: I’ll bark when you leave, but then I’ll settle down. Chews inappropriate items: No Training: Knows sit and come. Needs more work but waiting to lose weight before training. Highly treat motivated. Activity Level: Low Needs experienced adopter: Not necessarily. Should be willing to learn about her medications. If you are interested in Bebe, consider letting us know by filling out a (no-obligation) adoption application. Please consult our Adoption FAQ before contacting us. Please check the adoption-show-attendees page (http://www.pgspca.org/adopt/adoption-show-attendees/) to see if Bebe will be attending the next adoption show. NOTE: We are an all volunteer group and do not operate a shelter. All of our animals are in foster homes. We are unable to place our animals outside of the Baltimore/DC area.

Story
If you've been dreaming of a little dog with a huge heart, Daisy Belle may be the one you've been waiting for. At just 18 months old, this adorable little Corgi weighs only 14 pounds and stands about 11 inches tall, making her one of the tiniest Corgis we've seen in quite some time. She may be petite in size, but she has enough love to fill a house.   Daisy Belle has already experienced more than any young dog should. Still just a puppy herself, she was bred far too early and lovingly raised her litter before finally getting the chance to begin a life of her own. Now that her puppies have all found wonderful homes, it's Daisy's turn to be cherished, spoiled, and loved as someone's very special girl.   From the moment you meet her, it's impossible not to fall in love. Daisy is incredibly affectionate and gives the sweetest cuddles. She adores people, greets everyone like a friend, and gets along beautifully with other dogs and even cats. She has a gentle, easygoing nature that makes her a delightful companion whether you're relaxing on the couch or heading out for an adventure.   Don't let her tiny size fool you—Daisy has plenty of spirit. When she's feeling her best, she can zip around the yard like a little racehorse, reminding everyone that Corgis were bred to be active, intelligent working dogs. She enjoys being part of whatever her people are doing and would love a family that includes her in everyday life.   Daisy is housebroken, crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and has all the basics already mastered. She is heartworm negative, spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and completely ready to begin the next chapter of her life.   We would love to see Daisy Belle join a family that will appreciate both her affectionate nature and her bright mind. A securely fenced yard would give her a safe place to run and play, and children eight years and older would be a wonderful match. She would especially enjoy activities like agility, flyball, trick training, hiking, or simply learning fun new games with her family. She loves having a job to do and thrives when she can use both her body and her brain.   Daisy Belle has spent the beginning of her young life taking care of others. Now it's finally her turn to be the one who is cherished. She is ready for a family that will give her the happy, carefree future she has always deserved, and in return she will reward them with endless affection, loyal companionship, and a lifetime of love.   If you think Daisy Belle could be your perfect little partner, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Be sure to tell us your city and state when you inquire. Daisy is ready to find the forever family she's been waiting for.   If you are interested please Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmailcom   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 19, 2026, 6:58 pm

Story
Meet Nacho!! He is a handsome 18 month old Corgi/Australian Cattle Dog mix who weighs 29 pounds abd is a ton of fun. This boy has personality A+ and a heart full of affection. He's a smart young dog who is learning quickly and making great progress with his house training.    Nacho loves spending time with people, especially kids, and enjoys playing with other dogs. He's an active, happy companion who would have thrive with a family that can continue his training and give him  plenty of love and attention.   One thing to know about Nacho is that he's not a fan of cats, so he'll do best in a cat free home.  A fenced yard would be perfection but if with an active energized walking person or family, he could do that lifestyle too!   Please email critter cavalry rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 19, 2026, 6:58 pm

📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. ●Rescue Story Diah was rescued from the euthanasia list at "Jeongeup City Shelter" in South Korea. Thanks to timely intervention, she was given a second chance at life and moved into a foster home, where she has been able to show her true personality in a safe and loving environment. ●Temperament & Behavior Diah is a very people-loving dog. She is comfortable even with strangers touching her and often approaches first, asking for affection. As soon as someone pets her, she happily rolls onto her back, inviting more love and belly rubs. She gets along well with other dogs and can live in a multi-dog household. While she may feel a bit overwhelmed by dogs that play very roughly, once she has time to get to know them, she plays happily with dogs of all sizes—running, playing, and engaging in gentle wrestling. Her compatibility with cats has not yet been tested. ●Walking & Daily Life At first, Diah seemed a bit timid on walks, but with consistent leash training she has learned to walk nicely while matching her handler’s pace. Loud noises or passing cars may briefly startle her, causing her to pause, but if given a moment to calmly wait, she regains confidence and continues walking, sniffing around and enjoying her surroundings. She has no food allergies, is not a picky eater, and eats well. Her shedding level is moderate, about 5 out of 10. ●Habits & Training Diah uses indoor pee pads about 80% of the time and goes potty outdoors about 20% of the time. She tolerates baths and brushing well and remains calm during grooming. She does not show separation anxiety and is comfortable staying alone. She rarely barks, only giving a short bark occasionally at the doorbell. She rides extremely well in the car with no motion sickness. When placed in a car seat, she calmly lies down, naps, watches people, or looks out the window. ●Likes & Personality Diah loves playing with toys and engaging in gentle play. She is currently living in a foster home. ●Personality (Three Words): Perfect, affectionate, and easygoing. 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee.
