Story
Loki 7 months old Male Corgi mix? 20-25 lbs This boy is definitely our “type”! He was surrendered to us from a very sweet owner who rescued him from a puppy mill and recently experienced some life changes where she couldn’t care for him. He needed a little bit of work - he wasn’t used to being crated, left alone, walking on leash, etc. but he has come so far with those things in his foster home! We’re ready to put out the feelers to see if we can find his perfect people. Loki has microphthalmia (small eyes) resulting in limited vision, and he’s also deaf. But all things considering he gets around very well! He is great with his nose and sniffs out a new friend quickly when they walk into the room. He is VERY friendly with dogs and people and has a very sound mind - he doesn’t spook or startle like a lot of deaf/blind dogs. He’s still a puppy and gets really excited to be with his people, so young small children would probably not be ideal in his forever home. - Dog friendly - Cats unknown - he’d probably try to play! - Crate trained - Mostly potty trained - Walks well on leash - Would prefer another dog friend in the home If you’re interested in adopting Loki please complete an application at www.rosebudrescue.com/adopt Local adopters only at this time due to his upcoming neuter which is included in his adoption fee. *Please keep in mind that it is time consuming for our volunteers to process applications. We ask that you are sure you are ready to welcome a dog into your home and are seriously interested in adopting BEFORE applying.

Tabby 9 months old Spayed female Corgi mix 10-15 lbs Tabby is a shy but sweet girl. She needs someone who will give her time to come out of her shell but she'll make it worth your while! She loves other dogs, treats, and playing with toys. She's started to enjoy exploring the yard with her dog friends but is still scared about walking on leash. Dog friendly (cats unknown) Crate trained Working hard on potty training (may need pads to adjust) Nervous on leash, fenced yard required Would strongly benefit from another dog in the home If youre interested in adopting Tabby please complete an application at www.rosebudrescue.com/adopt Long distance adoptions considered - must travel to us in the Buffalo, NY area for a meet and greet. *Please keep in mind that it is time consuming for our volunteers to process applications. Story
Sabrina is a 9-month-old spayed female Corgi with a sweet, curious nature. She is housebroken and gets along well with both cats and other dogs. Because she enjoys herding, a home without very young children would likely suit her best. Sabrina is currently thriving in a loving foster home. Adoption Procedures Volunteers For Animals periodically pulls dogs from other shelters to free up space; this helps avoid euthanizing healthy, adoptable animals. We are able to do this through the generosity of many people such as the originating shelter staff, transporters, foster volunteers and others who help with pulling fees, vet bills and finding good homes once they are here. The adoption process includes an application that is completed by the potential owner. If there are multiple applications on the same animal, the animal will go to the best home for that particular animal - not necessarily the first application. Fees for the rescues animals can range from $100 to $450 per animal which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If you are interested in any of the Rescue dogs, please Contact Us. Do not call the Shelter regarding rescue animals - they have no information about these dogs. All rescue animals are in foster homes with volunteers - NOT at the Shelter - unless otherwise noted.  Here is the adoption process:   To adopt an animal you must complete an application and be approved. There is a $100 fee for any county animal which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If the animal is not spayed or neutered, there is a $35 deposit which will be returned upon proof of surgery. All dogs must be licensed before leaving the Shelter. Please note that public offices that issue dog licenses are not open on Saturdays and Sundays. All cats must leave in a carrier.   Thank you for considering a homeless animal.August 16, 2026, 2:08 pm

Story
Ambar was abandoned along with her mom and five other siblings. Her mom was found in the middle of a busy road, trying to feed and protect her puppies. Ambar is 5 months old and is a super friendly, loving, and obedient girl. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would make a wonderful addition to a loving family. Ambar will arrive in Albion, NY at the end of August and we would love to have a family waiting for her! Please note: All dogs are rescues, so we often do not know their actual breeds but use an educated guess to tell you what they most look like. Our adoption fee is $400 and unless otherwise stated all dogs and puppies have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, 4DX tested (if age appropriate), put on heartworm/flea/tick prevention, age appropriately vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked and flown from Puerto Rico. Story
Adri's story began in Puerto Rico when she was found abandoned alongside her mom and five siblings. Her devoted mom was doing everything she could to care for her puppies, even feeding them in the middle of the road. Thankfully, they were rescued and given the chance to grow up safe and loved. Now about 5 months old and weighing approximately 25 pounds, Adri is a sweet, affectionate girl who absolutely loves other dogs. She is very friendly, loving, and eager to please, and her obedient nature makes her a joy to work with. And let's talk about those ears!  Adri has mastered the adorable "one ear up, one ear down" look, and honestly, we're hoping she keeps it forever! Adri is still a young puppy, so she's ready for a family who will continue helping her learn, explore, and grow into the wonderful adult dog she's destined to become. She would love a home where she can have plenty of playtime, affection, and maybe even a canine sibling to keep her company. After such a difficult beginning, Adri is ready for the happy ending she deserves—a family of her very own. Adri will arrive in Albion, NY at the end of August and we would love to have a family waiting for her! * Please note: All dogs are rescues so we often do not know the actual breeds but use an educated guess to tell you what they most look like.
