Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Bella is the sweetest little pup ever! She has the cutest smile and endless amount of zoomies. She is full of energy and loves playing with toys and other dogs. Bella is a little dog so she is going to need a fur friend around her size. :) She has the cutest little smile and she loves people and getting attention. Bella is ready to find her forever home! :) REQUIREMENTS: Fenced Yard, Another fur friend  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! Story
Bella is a 5 year old Corgi/Jack Russell mix. She is active and loves her walks. Bella is missing a hind paw due to overzealous cleaning from her mom as a newborn. It doesn't bother her although we are careful to not walk her on concrete and if she goes on longer hikes, a padded sock or boot will protect her stump while walking. It is important that she stays thin and fit. Bella loves people but will bark if someone comes to the door. She even attended Kindergarten for a reading event and was a rockstar! Bella has been spayed, vaccinated, tested for heartworms, and micrchipped. Adoption $300.  Please fill out an application at www.companimals.org if you're interested in adding Bella to your family!February 19, 2026, 12:10 pm

Story
Calla is a gorgeous girl and very bonded to her owner but has a history of biting and reactivity. She needs a lot of attention and frequent play to exhaust her. She should not be around other pets or children and is best with one caretaker. She gets extremely jealous of divided attention and will resort to biting if she is not your main focus. Outside of the house she is fine with other people and dogs and is also fine with visitors to the house, as long as they eventually leave!
