All dogs are kept up to date on vaccines and preventatives while in foster care.  New Oxford PA 17350; LIC #9736​ We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs.  Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. STRAWBERRY SHORTSTACK IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE ADOPTED!    Hi, my name is Strawberry Shortstack, but you can call me Shorty! I am a Corgi and Terrier mix. I am about 3 or 4 years old and weigh only 16 pounds. I am looking for a proper excellent forever family.    Here are a few of my likes. Another dog close to my size. Cuddling in my person's lap (but I can be protective).  TOYS. They are so much fun.  Car rides are the best. Leash walks (but I will bark at other dogs and their people).   Things I DO NOT prefer. Dog parks are too crowded for me.  Rodents. They all must die. Kids are not my cup of tea. A chaotic home environment.   My unique traits. I am picky about the people I let pet me.  So slow introductions are a must. Not everyone is worthy to stroke my soft golden fur, but once I have been properly introduced (I can be enticed with high value treats), if I like you, we will be friends for life.    Shorty's best home will have a securely fenced yard preferably with resident squirrels. Another friendly similar sized friendly dog would be great. Adopters must have an excellent history of vet care for current or previous pets. Applicants with specific breed experience will be given preference. She is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all dog vaccinations. Her adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to PA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Strawberry Shortstack up north to her new family. LILAC is a five-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi who has been retired from an Amish breeder. She was not from a Puppy mill, but rather a small Amish farm where she was exposed to lots of animals and children. She gets along great with other dogs and cats and kids. She lived in an outbuilding so she’s never lived in an actual house but she appears to be pretty well housebroken, wanting to go out in the morning to potty. We’re hoping to get her into a foster home so we can assess her level of Housebrokeness. Lilac is delightful on walks – she picked up leash skills very quickly and is a smart girl and ready to learn more! Lilac has been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for heartworm and tick diseases, microchip and ready to go home with you!  She would love a country home or a home with a large yard where she could sniff about with walks in the woods – which is all the stuff that she’s familiar with - and then all the comforts of Home which she has been missing - belly rubs on the couch etc. Please fill out an application at www.companimals.org if you were the family that Lilac is looking for.
