Story
Meet Zipper
Zipper is a handsome tricolor boy with short legs, a long body, big ears, and some serious Corgi vibes! His foster describes him perfectly in three words: goofy, tank, and snuggler.
Zipper is a playful, affectionate guy who loves toys, treats, fetch, and showing off his zoomies. He’s also a major cuddler. He follows his foster mom around like a little shadow and, when he’s ready to relax, loves running to the couch and crawling up beside her for snuggles. His foster says his goofy personality and signature “Corgi flop” keep her laughing.
He is smart, food motivated, comes when called, and already knows “sit.” He listens well when redirected and is working on additional commands. Zipper is doing well with house training and is crate trained. He may not be excited about going into his crate—sometimes his solution is simply to flop down—but once inside, he settles nicely. He also rides calmly in the car.
Zipper is dog friendly and enjoys playing with his foster’s small dog. Larger dogs make him nervous, so he would be most comfortable with canine friends his size or smaller. He is not aggressive toward larger dogs; they simply scare him. His experience with cats and children is currently unknown, although his foster believes older, dog-savvy children could be a good match.
Zipper still has some of that fun “toddler” energy and occasionally thinks something left within reach might make a good chew toy, so he’ll benefit from a family who will continue his training and give him plenty of appropriate toys, exercise, and playtime.
Most of all, Zipper is a sweet, funny boy who loves being close to his people. As his foster says, “The person who adopts Zipper is going to have a friend who will make them laugh.”
