Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Banjo Banjo is a 3-year-old Lhasa Apso / Wheaten Terrier mix with a joyful spirit and a heart full of love. This happy, playful little guy is the definition of a lap dog—he adores being close to his person and soaking up all the attention he can get. Banjo enjoys car rides, leisurely walks, and then curling up right next to you when the day winds down. He gets along well with dogs and people, though he can be a bit bossy around food with other dogs. Because of this, he does best either as the center of someone’s world or in a home with just one other dog, as long as meals are fed separately. Banjo would truly thrive with a single person who wants a devoted companion to spoil and love endlessly. In return, he’ll give you unwavering affection, loyalty, and plenty of happy moments. Adoption fee: $300 Transport available to the Northeast or Midwest for $250 Apply to adopt Banjo: www.adoggie4you.org If you’re looking for a sweet, loving shadow who just wants to be your dog, Banjo may be the one you’ve been waiting for.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 13, 2026, 10:26 am

Story
Snoopy is a 9.5-month-old, 13 lb black and white Shih Tzu mix with a gentle soul and a curious heart. He’s a shy boy who can be nervous around new people at first, but he has never shown aggression or defensiveness—he simply needs patience and kindness to feel safe. When Snoopy decides you’re someone he trusts, he truly enjoys quiet cuddles and being close. Snoopy loves going for walks on his leash and is learning more every day. He’s still working on his potty training, so he’ll do best with a family willing to continue guiding him with consistency and encouragement. Toys are a new experience for Snoopy! He approaches them with curiosity and caution, as he’s still figuring out what they’re all about—watching him explore is pretty adorable. In our home, Snoopy has proven to be wonderful with everyone: kids, adults, dogs, cats, and even fish (haha). He’s a peaceful presence who would thrive in a calm, patient home where he’s allowed to build confidence at his own pace. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle companion who just needs a little extra time to blossom, Snoopy may be the perfect match. Snoopy is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $400.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
