Story
Meet Breve! At just 11lbs, 4 months old, this Doxy/Beagle mix is already brewing up plenty of personality! This handsome little guy arrived at the shelter as a stray alongside his brother, Cortado. While the two make an adorable pair, Breve is definitely the more outgoing of the duo.He can be a bit skittish when meeting new people or exploring new places, but don’t let that fool you — Breve warms up quickly and soon shows off his playful, affectionate side. Once he feels comfortable, he’s all about fun! Squeaky toys are his absolute favorite and he’ll happily chase after a ball with puppy enthusiasm.Like any young pup, Breve is still learning the “canine way” — from basic manners to building confidence in the big world around him. He’ll thrive in a home that has the time, patience, and love to help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. With consistent guidance and plenty of playtime, Breve is sure to blossom into a loyal and joyful companion. We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. Story
Meet Cortado! At just 10lbs and 4 months old, Cortado is a darling little Doxy/Beagle mix with a tender heart and soulful eyes. He arrived at the shelter as a stray alongside his brother, Breve, and while the world can feel a little big and overwhelming to him, he finds comfort in sticking close to his sibling and following his lead.Cortado is the more cautious of the two boys. New sights and sounds can make him a bit skittish at first, but give him a little time and gentle reassurance, and you’ll see his sweet personality shine through. Once he warms up, Cortado becomes an affectionate pup who loves giving kisses.Like any growing puppy, he enjoys playtime—especially squeaky toys and chasing after balls. He’s still learning the “canine way” and figuring out how to be brave and confident, so he’ll need a home that understands puppies take time, patience, and positive guidance to blossom into their best selves. We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. If you are interested in adopting, please contact us via FB Messenger or email us at jcasreception@johnsoncounty.in.gov for an application. Story
Alice is a fun little girl who loves her humans! She weighs about 30 pounds, making her the perfect little size! She sleeps in bed at night with her best kiddo and loves to cuddle with the rest of the family too. She enjoys dog friends on the calmer side, those who know that a girl needs her space. She's a bit of a busy body, likes to know what's going on in the world, but once she's satisfied, she's right back to the comfy, cuddly life. Alice is potty trained, spayed and up to date on vaccines. All she needs is a family to call her own! *Adopters must live in Central Indiana, no more than 45 min from downtown Indy *Please visit website for how to adopt: https://sketchymuttsandunderdogs.org/adopt *Please note that we do not operate on a first come first served basis
