He does get along well with other dogs, cats, human children, and human adults. He walks well on a leash and he absolutely loves tummy rubs. He`s a great little guy!

🐾 Minnie is looking for her forever home 🐾 Minnie is an ~8-year-old mini dachshund, weighing about 9 pounds, and she’s ready to find a patient, loving home. We adopted her from the pound in Joplin, MO in September 2025 (she was originally named Muffy). She is spayed and has adjusted a lot since coming into our home. Minnie is missing quite a few teeth, but it doesn’t slow her down—she eats dry dog food without any issues. Minnie is a sweet, gentle girl who loves to snuggle, especially with other small dogs. For a dachshund, she’s not much of a barker. She can be timid at first, and we believe she may have been a breeder dog with limited human interaction, so she’s still learning to fully trust people. She is not fully house trained yet, but she has made progress. She will need a patient home with someone who has the time and consistency to continue working with her. Minnie would do best in a home that is calm and patient and has time for continued potty training.

If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow who will snuggle close and celebrate your return every single day, Bisley is your guy. He’s dog- and cat-friendly. Because of some past trauma, Bisley is scared of canes, brooms, sticks, and similar objects, so he’ll need a patient, understanding home that can help him continue building confidence. Bisley has been through a formal behavior modification class to help him with being comfortable in new situations and environments. He is now ready for new adventures and car rides. 😽CAT FRIENDLY😽 Dachshunds are a popular family pet. They are known for their clownish personalities and their friendly demeanor. Here is your chance to bring home a Dachshund of your own! Meet Riley Joe, a 7-month-old Dachshund mix who currently weighs 19 pounds. He will likely add a few more pounds before reaching his adult weight (under 25 pounds). Riley Joe is a sweet, goofy, active puppy who will keep you laughing at his antics. Other fun facts about Riley Joe: 🌭Gets along with cats. 🌭Gets along well with other dogs. 🌭Making great progress on housetraining. He will whine at the door to go outside. 🌭Knows the commands “Come” and “Leave it”. 🌭Crate trained (but doesn’t love it).🌭Wants to be a lap dog. 🌭Walks on a leash (this is a work in progress). Riley Joe is a Velcro dog and loves to sleep in bed with his foster mom at night. He would love to have a home with another small dog who could be his buddy and playmate, but this isn’t a requirement. While a home with a fenced yard is preferred, he would also do well without a fence as long as the family is committed to multiple daily walks. Riley hasn't had interactions with children, but given his age and personality, we think he would do well with children in the home.
