Meet Riley Joe, a 7-month-old Dachshund mix who currently weighs 19 pounds. He will likely add a few more pounds before reaching his adult weight (under 25 pounds). Riley Joe is a sweet, goofy, active puppy who will keep you laughing at his antics. Other fun facts about Riley Joe: 🌭Gets along with cats. 🌭Gets along well with other dogs. 🌭Making great progress on housetraining. He will whine at the door to go outside. 🌭Knows the commands “Come” and “Leave it”. 🌭Crate trained (but doesn’t love it).🌭Wants to be a lap dog. 🌭Walks on a leash (this is a work in progress). Riley Joe is a Velcro dog and loves to sleep in bed with his foster mom at night. While a home with a fenced yard is preferred, he would also do well without a fence as long as the family is committed to multiple daily walks. 🐾 Minnie is looking for her forever home 🐾 Minnie is an ~8-year-old mini dachshund, weighing about 9 pounds, and she’s ready to find a patient, loving home. We adopted her from the pound in Joplin, MO in September 2025 (she was originally named Muffy). She is spayed and has adjusted a lot since coming into our home. Minnie is missing quite a few teeth, but it doesn’t slow her down—she eats dry dog food without any issues. Minnie is a sweet, gentle girl who loves to snuggle, especially with other small dogs. For a dachshund, she’s not much of a barker. She can be timid at first, and we believe she may have been a breeder dog with limited human interaction, so she’s still learning to fully trust people. She is not fully house trained yet, but she has made progress. She will need a patient home with someone who has the time and consistency to continue working with her. Minnie would do best in a home that is calm and patient and has time for continued potty training.

Lilyanne is a 7-year-old Miniature Dachshund with a big personality packed into one adorable little body! More than anything, Lilyanne wants her person. She absolutely soaks up attention and affection and will happily follow you from room to room because, in her mind, whatever you're doing is definitely something she should be a part of! If you're looking for a little shadow and devoted companion, Lilyanne may be your girl. Lilyanne gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home, although she isn't shy about voicing her opinion—to her foster family, the other dogs, or sometimes just because she has something to say! We think she would be happiest sharing her home with calm or more submissive canine friends who won't mind her confident little personality. She's a sweet, spunky and pretty fearless girl who seems completely unaware that she's a tiny dog. Lilyanne loves her chew toys, enjoys exploring the backyard, and gets super excited for car rides. Hudson is a 2-year-old with a big heart, short little legs, and a whole lot of potential. This adorable low rider may look like a big dog at first glance, but his stubby legs make him extra cute—and he’s the perfect size for being your constant companion. Hudson hasn’t had many good experiences with people, so he’s understandably shy and unsure when it comes to humans. But he’s learning that people can be kind, patient, and trustworthy, especially with the help of his friendly, confident dog friends. Having other dogs around has helped Hudson come out of his shell and feel a little braver about exploring the world. As he becomes more comfortable, we’re already seeing glimpses of the sweet and affectionate dog hiding underneath that shy exterior. Hudson is learning to enjoy spending time with people, and it’s clear that there’s so much love waiting to come out once he feels safe.
