😽CAT FRIENDLY😽 Dachshunds are a popular family pet. They are known for their clownish personalities and their friendly demeanor. Here is your chance to bring home a Dachshund of your own! Meet Riley Joe, a 7-month-old Dachshund mix who currently weighs 19 pounds. He will likely add a few more pounds before reaching his adult weight (under 25 pounds). Riley Joe is a sweet, goofy, active puppy who will keep you laughing at his antics. Other fun facts about Riley Joe: 🌭Gets along with cats. 🌭Gets along well with other dogs. 🌭Making great progress on housetraining. He will whine at the door to go outside. 🌭Knows the commands “Come” and “Leave it”. 🌭Crate trained (but doesn’t love it).🌭Wants to be a lap dog. 🌭Walks on a leash (this is a work in progress). Riley Joe is a Velcro dog and loves to sleep in bed with his foster mom at night. He would love to have a home with another small dog who could be his buddy and playmate, but this isn’t a requirement. While a home with a fenced yard is preferred, he would also do well without a fence as long as the family is committed to multiple daily walks. Riley hasn't had interactions with children, but given his age and personality, we think he would do well with children in the home. To meet this little clown🤡, fill out an adoption application today! His adoption fee is $300 and it includes his neuter, microchip, vaccinations, and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. 🐕PawsitiveTailsKC.org🐕

Approx. DOB:7/4/2019                 Approx. Weight: 11 lbs Adoption Fee: $275 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness!  Meet Lilyanne! Lilyanne is a 7-year-old Miniature Dachshund with a big personality packed into one adorable little body! More than anything, Lilyanne wants her person. She absolutely soaks up attention and affection and will happily follow you from room to room because, in her mind, whatever you're doing is definitely something she should be a part of! If you're looking for a little shadow and devoted companion, Lilyanne may be your girl. Lilyanne gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home, although she isn't shy about voicing her opinion—to her foster family, the other dogs, or sometimes just because she has something to say! We think she would be happiest sharing her home with calm or more submissive canine friends who won't mind her confident little personality. She's a sweet, spunky and pretty fearless girl who seems completely unaware that she's a tiny dog. Lilyanne loves her chew toys, enjoys exploring the backyard, and gets super excited for car rides. She also walks fairly well on a leash and enjoys getting out and about with her people. Lilyanne is mostly housetrained and is also very good about using potty pads. She's a healthy eater and has gained a couple of pounds that she needed when she first arrived. She's now at a great weight, so her new family will want to measure her meals to help keep her trim and healthy. Lilyanne has already had some important medical care while with us. She has been spayed, had an umbilical hernia repaired, and received a dental cleaning. Now she's ready to put all of that behind her and concentrate on the important stuff—finding someone to love and adore for the rest of her life. Because she's a tiny lady with a bold personality, we're looking for a home with children age 10 or older. Lilyanne doesn't ask for much—just a person of her own, plenty of love and attention, some good chew toys, and a spot right beside you. ❤️ If you're looking for a loyal little companion who wants to be involved in every part of your day, Lilyanne is ready to fill that position! I have been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.   Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! Story
Meet Rory! ❤️ Rory is a 5-year-old, 35-pound Corgi/Dachshund mix with a big personality packed into one lovable package! He is engaging, curious, spunky, and loving, and he’ll keep you entertained with his quirky ways. Rory has short bursts of energy and then is happy to settle down. He gets along well with other dogs, although he’s not a fan of sharing and would prefer to have his own things. He also likes to be in control and isn’t shy about letting you know when he disagrees with something! Rory is house trained, with one exception: he sometimes gets so excited or nervous when meeting new people that he may pee on them. Once he gets past the introductions and decides you’re his friend, this isn’t an issue. Rory has a strong personality and would do best with an experienced owner who understands the importance of consistent rules, boundaries, and limits. He’s a smart boy who may try to negotiate when he doesn’t get his way, so he needs someone who will patiently and consistently show him what is expected. If you’re looking for a fun, loving companion with plenty of personality, Rory may be your guy! He’ll keep you smiling with his antics, and once he knows you’re his person, he’ll be happy to be by your side. ❤️  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 16, 2026, 12:26 pm

Story
Raya Meet Raya, a 2-year-old mixed-breed girl weighing about 30 pounds. With her expressive face, warm brown coat and adorable little ears, she has a look that is all her own. Raya is a great medium size — big enough for adventures but still a very manageable size for everyday life. She is ready to leave her past behind and settle into the good stuff: a home, a family and all the attention that comes with being someone’s dog. We’re calling Raya a small mixed breed, because her family tree is anyone’s guess. Whatever breeds went into making her, they created one very cute girl. Raya is ready to meet the family who will make her part of their own. All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Adoption fee is $250. Apply here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog
