Me and My family had gotten Buddy when he was 5 weeks old from a private seller he came right up to me and sat on my lap and I knew immediately it was gonna be him coming home with us. Buddy has been with us for the last 3 years as we went through the troubles of being homeless and then family issues who then made us board him and unfortunately he became different during his time there. Buddy is truly an amazing dog but with us just now getting back on our feet as well as a new-apt, it’s unfortunately too much

PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Blondie! She is approximately 2 years old, 14 lbs currently and she may have some Dachshund in her mix! She was confiscated from a hoarding situation and is very, very shy. In her foster home, she is doing great with her house training, but has no experience with crate training or leash walking. She could join households with teenagers, and other dogs. She has not been exposed to cats. She needs a special adopter who has experience working with shy dogs.Blondie needs a fenced yard and another confident dog to show her the ropes in her future home. Her foster says, `Blondie has been traveling a long road of learning people just wanna love her. She is very good at going outside to potty and loves being out in the yard playing. Though, all terrains are a playground for her with another willing participant. She is still young and not used to being an inside dog and is learning being held is kinda nice and some things are not suppose to include her teeth marks. She is very quiet except when she gets excited when playing and when you come home she will WoooWooo at you but not bark. I think if you have cats that would be just fine, she may want to play with them. Her fur is very low upkeep! She does not get on the furniture or jump on you.`She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on October 9th. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Do Not Apply for a pet with PENDING in the name bar.  They have been matched with a home, but not adopted yet. Winnie is a 7 year old dachshund born on August 14. She is a little shy until she gets to know you, but warms up quickly. She gets along well with other dogs. She does not like young children. She wants to be the spoiled baby! Winnie loves to sit on your lap and go for car rides. Her favorite treat is peanut butter. She is a boisterous girl who thrives on love and attention. She will need a human who has lots of time for her. We prefer a home who is familiar with the breed     Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited. Therefore, we request a  $20.00  donation through paypal in order to process and expedite your application. This shows that you are truly interested in adoption. Your application will remain on file for a year. We are only available by phone after you have an approved application. All pets are located in the southeast. Transport is available to the NE for an additional $300.00 transport fee. We do not adopt in MA, RI due to import laws. Residents MUST pick up in CT. All dogs over 8 months will be spayed or neutered and heartworm tested. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated,microchipped, dewormed and treated for other parasites. Please read the FAQ on our website for additional information. Welcome Drummer to CCPAL Rescue. Drummer is an 8-year-old wire-haired Dachshund. He was adopted out by us 4 years ago. He was 4 at the time. He has been loved and bonded deeply to the woman that adopted him. He would love another home with a quieter home that would allow him to get the attention he needs and deserves. He has found himself in need of a new forever home. His owner has been put in hospice and can no longer care for him. The immediate family cannot care for him so we stepped up and will find this precious boy his new forever home. He is trying to adjust to the Rescue again. The treats from our friends in New Jersey helped him today along with all the nice gifts. His owner has been put in hospice and can no longer care for him. The immediate family cannot care for him so we stepped up and will find this precious boy his new forever home. 5.5 may sound out but it truly is middle aged in Dachshunds lifespans. They can easily live to be 17 years old. If you love the breed, you know how loyal and bonded these dogs are to their person. They are a single dog person dog. They may love other people but they are loyal to one. He sheds some but not over the top. He is a good weight and his teeth are not too bad for his age. You can tell he was cared for and that he is disoriented with his new arrangement at the Rescue. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. She was found on the streets. She doesn’t jump up, is good with other dogs, good in a kennel, very non reactive around lots of dogs and a busy shelter. She is a very mellow and lower energy dog. She is what we call “perfect” temperament in Rescue. Since she is relatively quiet, she would be fine in a condo, apartment or shared wall situation. She is sturdy and would make a great walking companion. She won’t need lots of walks or exercise to be happy. She is getting spayed soon and is topping up and getting her vaccinations. She could go to a moderately to lower active family. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast.
