Story
This little pretty chocolate dappled girl is called Mazie and goodness what a cracker jack she is.  Don’t for minute let those green eyes and chocolate marbled coat fool you to think she is gentle or easy.  She is the CEO of dogs and will run the show at your house if given the chance.  Mazie is 20 pounds and 9 months old.  She is a breed mix of Dachshund and Basset Hound we are told.  Her pics make her look big but she is a “tiny but mighty” little girl.  Mazie is not a fan of any other female dogs in her life or around her.  We don’t know where that came from but the dislike is there so we say…don’t ignore the warning.  She is great with big male dogs, not good with other small dogs or cats, but loves people deeply and wants to be around them.  She needs a fenced yard because she is a runner as most Dachshunds can be and she needs to be able to run and play and get her energy out daily.  Older children would be better for her and she is crate trained, 90% housebroken and she adores going for walks; a very good girl on a leash we can say.  She is beautiful but a “tad” bit complicated, which is why we have outlined the Likes and Dislikes of this girl to a TEE!  We want the right and perfect home and there are lots out there that can give her that.  Tiny but Mighty little Mazie is ready for a home NOW!  Please email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue : ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Tell us where you live when you email asking for information and an application. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 18, 2024, 12:44 pm

Story
This handsome pup is Biff! He’s an adult low rider that lives to hang with his people! Biff is a designer mix breed pup. We think there’s a splash of Dachshund, a pinch of Hound, dash of Lab, a touch of Pittie, and a sprinkling of Mr Nice Pup.  Biff is excited for life and happy to be here. He’s a true joy to be around.  Biff knows his manners and would appreciate a confident owner willing to continue to help guide him. When first meeting people, Biff can be a little nervous but after a proper introduction, he makes fast friends. He’d love to hang out at breweries, go on hikes, or just enjoys leisurely stroll with his new family. Biff has spent some time with a professional trainer and did very well there! He learned the basics and his trainer will be happy to review everything Biff learned with his new family.
Biff would be a great addition to a home that already has a calm and confident dog.  He’s great with kids and currently had 2 legged family members that are between the ages of 8 & 21. If you'd like to make this handsome pup part of your family, please let us know here: dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form. We'll forward the app to his foster who will reach out to answer any questions, share pictures, and talk all things Biff. ================================================= If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
Where are our little dog lovers at!? And SENIOR DOG lovers!? 🐕 Snickers is a 11 years young pup that is a spry, happy, lovable lap warmer! She is adorable with large staring dark round eyes and very long legs. She is smart as a whip and playful for an old girl. She was caught with Skipper December 2022; with them being in advanced age, they had to be someone’s babies, especially to be in relatively good shape mentally as well as physically. They are great buddies, constantly playing. So, it would be advantageous if they could be adopted together. But, it isn’t required! A nice sized fenced yard would be great, also. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Chewbacca is a 3-year-old dachshund papillon mix who is ready to steal your heart.  He is ready to start his new life with a loving family who will give him all the attention, belly rubs and cuddles he deserves.  Chewy is a loyal companion and will be your furry best friend for life.  He is an ultimate Velcro dog and will follow you around wherever you go.  He loves to lay under foster mom’s desk while she works.  He does great in the car and is always up for an adventure. He is looking for a home where his alone time would be minimal. Chewy would like nothing more than a secured fenced in yard where he can roam around, chase squirrels, chipmunks and the like.  He does well with small dogs, not a fan of big dogs. He was professionally groomed upon intake and his groomer gave him an A+ and stated that if she didn't have so many dogs, she would adopt him. Chewy is a work in progress in potty training but coming along nicely.   APPLY ONLY AT:  www.paw-affectionrescue.org Adoption Fee:  $425.00    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 11, 2024, 12:18 pm

Story
Hello, my name is Michelle and I am looking for a home for my Aunt Denise dog. My aunt has been experiencing dementia for the past 5 years, I have been her caregiver, and I am currently her Power of Attorney. She had been living alone until the beginning of April when she was hospitalized with a UTI. Unfortunately, she has not cognitively recovered from the UTI and has been declared incompetent by her Dr's. She is now in a memory care unit at a skilled nursing facility and I am told she will not regain the ability to live alone. In the past when Denise had been hospitalized, her friend Ruthie cared for Roscoe. Ruthie was very happy to take Roscoe this time as well, knowing that this was probably going to be forever. Well, I got a call from Ruthie last week that it is not working out with Roscoe. I unfortunately can not take Roscoe and am looking for a match for him. Roscoe does not like dogs that are bigger than him but he is fine with small dogs and cats. No small children.
