Rusty Cuddles is looking for a special family who is home more than not and understands the beauty of loving a senior dog with special needs.  He is looking for a warm lap, gentle hands and a family who will cherish him for the rest of his days (and believe me you will fall deeply in love with him, if special needs seniors are your jam!) Rusty is a 15 yo/8 lb mini dachshund mix with a gentle soul and a heart made entirely for cuddles.  Though he is blind, Rusty experiences the world through sound, touch & the comfort of being close to his people. His favorite place is in your arms — that’s where he feels safest and happiest This precious senior has been through so much, yet he remains incredibly sweet, affectionate + trusting. He does great in his foster home, has made friends with the other dogs and thrives in a chill & loving environment! All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP Bordetella (Kennel Cough) Heartworm Test Fecal Test, Deworming Microchip Flea and Tick Prevention Heartworm Prevention. Spay/Neuter All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease. VETTING NOTE: Fetching Hearts Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward.
