Story
Doc & Odie came to my home on 12/20/25 from an elderly woman who wanted to find them a good home as a bonded pair. They are definitely bonded to each other in a sweet, caring manner. They are low key, wonderful senior boys. I did the right thing in assisting to remove them from a not-so-great environment and into my care. My home life is evolving, and I truly need to find them a permanent home together. They will bring great joy to the right person. They are "sleep in the bed with you" kinds of guys and never move all night. They are grateful for love and security. They are good souls and deserve love for the rest of their lives.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Romeo, oh such a suitable name for this goofy, loving dog. Romeo is a 9 year young Dachshund mix. He is great with other dogs and very sociable with humans. Very food motivated and he can hear the cheese wrapper from any distance. Romeo is looking for a permanent home, preferably one without stairs. The coordination in his rear legs is not perfect, but on flat ground he is as fast as the other dogs and he love to run and play wrestle. Romeo is not an early riser, he likes to sleep in on a soft bed close to the warm air vent.  Romeo is incontinent. Romeo has limited bladder control. He leaks urine when his bladder is full. He walks as he pees and is unaware of this, he could wear doggie diapers but he would need to be trained to keep them on. Romeo will not be able to become 100% housebroken due to his neurological problem.** If Romeo is let out often he keeps clean inside most of the time.** Romeo loves his human with ALL his heart . He has lots of needs but lots of love to give. This guy is definitely worth the work. If you think you're that special person who can help Romeo and give him a forever home fill out an application. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.  Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 1:33 pm

Story
Meet Mocha, a gentle and curious soul who is eager to discover what it truly means to be a beloved pet. Rescued from a hoarding case, Mocha is learning to embrace love and care, and is ready to experience all the joys of being a dog, with your help! This sweet boy is playful yet quiet, and will need a little extra time and patience to warm up to you. But once he does, Mocha loves to be close, snuggling up and nuzzling your neck. He is learning how to walk on a leash, getting more used to strangers, and learning to go potty outside (pad trained). Mocha is on the lookout for a foster-to-adopt family who can offer him a physical fenced-in yard to explore (as he may be a flight risk due to his shy nature), and perhaps even a furry sibling to help boost his confidence. Children 8 years old or older would be best. He is a friendly and gentle boy who just needs someone to show him what it's like to be a happy, healthy dog. With free dog training included, you'll be able to guide Mocha towards a brighter future and help him leave his uncertain past behind. At around 10 months old, Mocha is a young dog full of potential, ready to embrace all the love and care you can offer. Could you be the one to show him what it's all about? We were told that Mocha was a Dachshund/Catahoula mix, 22 lbs., updated on vaccines, and will be neutered in the near future. To meet Mocha, please fill out our online application for pre-approval. https://www.parpets.org/adoption-application.html
