COURTESY POST – BELLA NEEDS A NEW HOME 🐾 📍 Gulfport, MS Meet Bella, a sweet 5-year-old Dachshund looking for a loving new home after the heartbreaking loss of her owner. Bella has spent her whole life with her family, and through no fault of her own she now needs a safe place to land. Bella is a brown female Dachshund who has lived with other dogs and has done well with them. She currently lives with three other Dachshund/Jack Russell mixes, including two of her own puppies. She has also been around children and has had no issues with kids. Bella is spayed and described as a non-destructive dog who enjoys being part of the family. She has not had formal obedience training and will need a little patience and guidance as she adjusts to a new home. She is not fully housebroken yet but could improve with consistency and routine. She has shown she will protect her yard if unfamiliar dogs come in, but she has never bitten anyone. Bella would do best with a secure yard since she has been known to try to slip out of fencing. Bella currently eats Ol’ Roy dog food and her previous veterinarian was Dr. Roberts Small Animal Clinic. Her current vaccination status is unknown and she is not currently on heartworm prevention, so her adopter will want to get her established with a vet. This sweet girl deserves stability and love again after losing her owner. 💔 ⚠️ This is a courtesy post. Bella is not in the care of Tired Dog Rescue, but we are helping network to find her a safe and loving home. If you are interested in giving Bella a second chance, please fill out an application. ❤️ Please share to help Bella find her new family.

Not sure why this little guy is still with us? If you're looking for a dog to adopt, Oscars is it. 5 years old, 15 lbs. Male dapple Dachshund mix. Super Sweet Loves to cuddle Smart & trainable Loves to be near you Loves people - all ages Gets along with dogs Gets along with cats Housebroken Crate trained Doggie door trained Loves toys & playtime Current on shots Microchipped Great companion Oscar has been treated for Heartworms and made a full recovery. Up to date on shots, neutered and micro-chipped. Hes great with dogs, doesnt even pay attention to cats but not good with small animals. Loves people of all ages. Just wants to snuggle up against you, in your lap, and sleeps right next to you under the covers. He really had no structure or trainings before he was rescued by a good Samaritan. He is doing great in foster care. Hes a very sweet and laid-back little fellow. He just wants to be loved and with people. He will make a wonderful companion. He does get a little upset when left alone. So a home with someone who is home most of the time, where he can go with his people, in a crate when alone or someone willing to work with him would be best. Adoption fee $250. You can find an application here on facebook or our website.

Story
Meet Moochie “Russell Scout” 🖤🤍 Available for Adoption through Tired Dog Rescue Russell Scout is the definition of a loyal little shadow — the kind of dog who will follow you to the ends of the earth with a pep in his step and a smile on his face. This adorable Chihuahua mix may be small at just under 10 pounds, but his personality is mighty. Scout has a unique little gait that his veterinarian believes may be neurological, but honestly, it just makes him even more special and lovable. He doesn’t let it slow him down one bit! He is potty trained, loves a good meal, and takes his cuddle duties very seriously. If you’re looking for the perfect little spoon to your big spoon, Scout is your guy. His absolute favorite place in the world is curled up in your lap where he can drift off to sleep and enthusiastically chase imaginary water buffalo in his dreams. Fair warning — his sleep hunting adventures can get pretty animated! Scout will need a patient adopter willing to gently help him continue learning leash walking skills and proper introductions with other dogs. He can act a little tough when perched on furniture and may bare his teeth if he feels he has the advantage, but once on equal ground, he’s more likely to retreat than confront. Deep down, he’s a sensitive little guy who just wants to feel safe and loved. He may take a few days to warm up, but once he trusts you, you’ll have a best friend for life. Scout has not been child tested, so a calm, understanding home would likely suit him best. 🐶 Moochie “Russell Scout” • Chihuahua Mix • Male, Neutered • DOB: 05/11/2018 • 9.8 lbs • Potty Trained • Professional Lap Warmer & Dream Buffalo Hunter To apply to adopt Russell Scout, please visit: www.tireddogrescue.org
