Name: FelixAge: 1 yearBreed: dachshund mixWeight: 19 poundsSex: MaleLocation: BuffaloMeet Felix! Felix came all the way to Buffalo from Texas to find his forever home. He is a calm, independent guy. He gets along with other dogs and doesn’t seem to mind the cat in his foster home either. Felix walks well on a leash. He is crate trained, but he sure does love sleeping in his foster dad’s bed at night. Felix has never had an accident in his crate when left alone and is house broken when kept on a good routine. He loves to lay around, but when it’s time to be active, he can be a lot of fun, too. Felix is shy at first, but warms up to people quickly. Once he’s comfortable, he becomes your shadow and wants to go everywhere with you. In all, he’s got the long body of a dachshund, but an even bigger heart with a lot of love to give!If you are interested in adopting Felix, please apply at https://www.716paws.org/adopt or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved ##2037806##

Story
Name: Peanut Breed: Dachshund/Beagle MixAge: 8/18/23  Sex: Neutered MaleLocation: Buffalo Peanut is a 9 month old, 21 lb male Dachshund X Beagle mix. He has plenty of puppy energy but has a good foundation and temperament that’s going to make him a really good companion. He appears to be potty trained, he’s learning how to be in the crate while his foster parents are at work, he’s good on the leash, he loves other dogs and adores children. Cats are unknown.  He would do great with another dog willing to play with him in the same household or he’d be able to adjust to being an only dog with plenty of human attention.  Peanut loves to play with toys, plenty of belly rubs and snuggling on the couch. He will need some guidance on what’s appropriate to play with, as he likes to grab socks and shoes, he’s still a puppy after all! He’s a silly boy and will keep you laughing all day long! If you are interested in Peanut, please apply at https:// www.716paws.org/adopt or message the rescue on Facebook, if you're already pre-approved ##2044427##

Story
Louis is in Texas but transport is available. Transport cost is $230. This little guy's world was turned upside down recently. His mom passed away suddenly. He misses her terribly, so he needs stability so he can bond again.Louis gets along with other dogs and cats. He has been around a toddler at his foster home and doesn't seem to have any issues with young kids. We don't know his history with kids, so we always suggest using caution. We are told he was trained to use a potty pad. He is doing great with going potty outside, so far at his foster home. He is crate trained, although he does cry for awhile. The ideal home for him would be one that will allow him to be with his person most days. Once he settles in, he should be fine. He has a little separation anxiety right now with all of the changes in his life. If Louis sounds like he would fit in your family, please apply today.*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Hoja is available for adoption! FEMALE | 2 YEARS | 42 LBS |DACHSHUND MIX Hoja is a spunky girl that is full of life! She loves people and is very much enjoying being loved and spoiled in her foster home. Hoja has lots of energy and would love to get outside with her humans for a run or hike. She is a bit hesitant when meeting new people but quickly warms up to them. She likes meeting and playing with other dogs, and seems to get along with male dogs especially well. Hoja is also good with cats - although some cats might not like her playful nature. Hoja is doing really well with her potty training and is also okay being in her crate as well, but she is always very excited when her human comes home to let her out! Hoja is very enthusiastic about going on walks and is working on her patience with it just being a walk instead of a sprint. She loves toys and is an excellent chewer, but she doesn’t chew to destroy. She can often be found bringing random objects that she can carry into the living room to add to her little collection. She alert barks to let her humans know that someone is coming up to the house and is learning when to stop letting her humans know that she saw someone. She is also working on not jumping up on people and has quickly come to understand the word down – she is one smart cookie! Hoja would love a home with another dog to play with, a big yard for optimal zoomies and a human with the time and patience to teach her new things and help her be the goodest girl she can be!

Story
# 🐾 Hi there, I'm Heuk-dang! 🐾 Hey, you! Yes, you looking for a loyal friend. I'm Heuk-dang, a 6-year-old dachshund/Corgi mix with a sleek black coat. I weigh a perfect 10 kg – just enough for a good cuddle but still fit for all our adventures together. ## My Backstory 🏠 My journey began when I was rescued from a shelter, just moments before it was too late. Now I'm ready to find a forever home where I can share all the love I've got stored up. ## A Peek Into My Personality 🐶 I'm a bit on the shy side, but don't let that fool you. Offer me a snack, and I'll be your buddy in no time, showing you my belly for some rubs. I'm not much for the rough-and-tumble play with other dogs; I prefer the company of my human pals. Cats? They're cool, but I'm more about the people in my life. ## My Likes and Dislikes 🎾🛌 I enjoy a good stroll and am a pro at walking nicely beside you, leash or no leash. After some fun outside, I'm all about that chill life, resting quietly by your side. I'm not one to guard my food – I believe in sharing the love (and the kibble). ## My Dream Home 🏡💤 I'm looking for a calm household that appreciates a laid-back companion. I'd love to be your shadow, your quiet confidant, and your gentle friend. If you've got a soft spot for a sweet soul who's all about peaceful vibes, I'm your guy. **Gentle tail wags and hopeful eyes,** Heuk-dang 🐕🖤 For more videos: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIsLTtIpe3JzudtALP61IyP6sftvigyKj
