QUICK FACTS Name: Shasha Age: About 7 Years Old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Dachshund Color: Beige Weight: 10kg / 22lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY When I was little, I was brought home from a pet shop and became part of a family. For a while, I believed that was where I would stay forever. But as life in the home began to change after a baby arrived, things slowly became difficult between the family members. In the end, I was the one who had to leave. I didn’t understand why my world suddenly changed, but I’ve still held onto my gentle heart through it all.Now I’m hoping to find a steadier place where I can simply belong again.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Shasha. I’ve spent most of my life living closely beside people, and because of that, being near my humans is what makes me happiest. I love staying close—whether that means curling up at your feet during the day or climbing right onto your lap or tummy at bedtime so we can rest together. I’m the kind of dog who always wants to quietly share the same space as the people I love. Even though my life has changed a lot, I’ve held onto a warm and trusting heart. I adore people, including new faces, and I naturally seek out affection and connection wherever I go. My personality is easygoing, loving, and full of sweet little moments that make daily life feel softer and warmer. People often smile at my adorably round little dachshund shape and my affectionate personality, but what truly makes me special is how deeply I love being with my humans. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who wants nothing more than closeness, comfort, and shared everyday moments, I would love to stay right by your side.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m a naturally affectionate dog who loves being close to people—I’ll happily walk up, lean in for attention, and enjoy gentle touch, even from someone I’ve just met. Once I feel comfortable, I show my trust easily, often rolling over to share my belly. I’m also comfortable being picked up, which helps me feel safe, secure, and close to my people. · With Dogs: I’m polite and calm when meeting unfamiliar dogs, usually greeting them briefly before quietly moving along rather than turning it into playtime. Very high-energy dogs can feel a little overwhelming to me, so I tend to prefer calmer company and relaxed interactions. Even if another dog behaves rudely or tries to provoke me, I’d much rather avoid conflict and simply step away to keep the peace. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have low energy level – I have a calm, low-energy nature and truly enjoy peaceful moments spent relaxing close to my people. Walks feel easy and comfortable for me—I move nicely on leash without pulling and naturally stay connected to my person, making me a gentle and steady companion to have by your side.   TRAINING & HABITS I have a gentle, easygoing nature and feel comfortable sharing my space, even around food. I really enjoy being close to my people and may become quite attached to them over time, so continued reassurance and a stable routine will help me feel secure and confident when alone. I’ll use my voice from time to time to let you know when I want something I settle calmly in a kennel I adapt well to both indoor pads and outdoor bathroom breaks.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I form strong bonds with my people and truly enjoy being close to them. Right now, I handle alone time fairly well, but because I’m very people-oriented, I may need gentle guidance and a consistent routine to help me continue feeling secure and confident when left on my own. When I enter a brand-new environment, I can take a few days to fully settle in, especially around food. During that adjustment period, I may eat very little while I quietly observe and learn my surroundings. But once I feel safe and familiar, my appetite comes right back, and my cheerful personality shines comfortably again.    SHASHA'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2745616##

Story
Currently fostered in Texas Daisy aka Daisy May Apx 2 years old and a long low 17 pounds. Chiweenie. Daisy is a bit of a nervous nelly but very sweet and loving. She is very scared of men and nervous in the car, she gets car sick, so she does not want to be a passenger princess. We can send her home with some Car sickness medicine to help with her transition. I do think in time and maybe some car rides to go get things like ice cream or pup cups she would do better in the car. When we first got her, she was very scared to walk on leash and harness, and it only took her a couple days to start to like walking with us in a familiar area. She just needs some confidence building and socializing. Daisy is never aggressive. She is just a bit of a scaredy-cat. Daisy is great with well mannered kids, cats and dogs. She has good potty manners here at the rescue and is not barky. We think it would be best that she is in a house instead of an apartment.
