Female Dachshund, Lab, Shepherd Mix DOB 10/30/23 Lucy wont get much bigger than her current 25 lbs. She is sweet and shy. Isn’t that a cute doe? No, this pup is way too attention seeking to pass for a mini deer! We do expect she may grow into 30 to 35 lbs but she'll still sit quite a bit shorter than her prairie friends. Prairie will always be crazy excited to see you when you come home! She's still got a whole lot of puppy play in her! She has a sister and brother available as well!

Abby is shy little girl who is overwhelmed here in the shelter. She is a tiny little girl, 13 pounds, estimated 1 year old. She was found as a stray so we don't know her background. Abby is looking for a calm and patient home that can give her time to decompress and structure so she can learn that people can be trusted. Because of her tiny size and nervous personality we would recommend a home without very young children. Abby should be considered a flight risk so a secure fence or a commitment to leash walking would be needed. Abby is up to date on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm disease and her adoption fee includes a voucher from our vet to cover her spay.

Story
Meet Joyful Johnny!  He is a wonderful little chiweenie boy who is 3 years old and about 15 lbs.  Johnny is a fun loving little guy who is good with dogs of all sizes and ages.  He also loves people and just wants to be with you.  Johnny loves to play and has a big time running and playing with his foster brothers and sisters.  They have a nice fenced in area where they can safely play.  When not playing Johnny is always up for a movie or a ballgame.  He came from a bad situation where he was not taken care of at all.  He and his sister June (a boxer) were surrendered to a rural Tennessee shelter,  Johnny showed no signs of being neglected but June was in rough shape.  She is now in a great foster home too and well on her way to recovery.  Johnny would make a great addition to an active home with another similar size and age dog to play with.  He is trained to a doggie door so might need some help with his house manners if you don't have one.  He eats in his crate and is not picky about his food.  Johnny is a happy go lucky guy who just makes you smile.  He is schedule to be neutered and microchipped on 2/13.  He is already current on all his shots.  He will then be ready to travel to his forever home.  To be considered for Johnny's forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  ARRPOVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Johnny is currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)September 29, 2023, 1:10 pm
