Story
Darling earned her name not only because of her beauty, but because of her darling personality. This one's a tiny little gem! She was found standing on the side of the road and we suspect she was recently abandoned. Despite exhaustive searching, no owner came forward, so now Darling is looking for her forever-ever home. Her heroes report:  Chill, easy going temperament - NO issues with nipping. Just very calm. Foster mom describes her as the "perfect" dog. About 11lbs, approx 5 years old. She resembles a long haired mini dachshund mixed with mystery mutt. She's in a home with dogs, cats, and children and no issues. That said, she is calm and doesn't care to play with other dogs. Darling would prefer a home without rambunctious housemates, and she'd be happy as an only dog, too.  She wants to sit on your lap or near you and just relax.  She completely housebroken - has NEVER had an accident at all and has no problem being in a crate.  No issues with being bathed, she was calm. Darling's adoption fee is $350 and includes vaccines, spay and microchip. Apply here: https://northmeckanimalrescue.org/ ##2827236##

Please read ALL of this listing prior to asking questions. If you are interested in Beaux and feel that you would be a good match for her, you must first fill out an application here (please copy and paste the link): https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ After we receive your application we will contact you... thank you! Beaux is a beautiful chocolate and tan, 9-year-old Dachshund who is ready for her forever home. She came to us paralyzed, but quickly regained use of her legs, and can now run and play to her heart's content! This little Doxie has some trouble being still. Even when she’s really tired, she still wants to keep going. And she absolutely LOVES to ride -- in a car, a boat, wheelbarrow, or backpack. As long as she isn't left in the house, she’s a happy little camper! Although Beaux does very well with the other dogs in her foster family, she is capable of entertaining herself and probably would do well without another canine companion, as long as she has human companionship. Beaux also LOVES children! Like most Dachshunds, she is highly intelligent... and a bit more mischievous than your average pup. Because of Beaux’s high energy level, she tries to go up and down stairs, hop off the furniture, etc. -- things that Dachshund's really aren't supposed to do. She would do best in a home with a fenced yard, so she can run and explore safely. Her foster home has a fenced yard with a doggie door. Her foster parents have not taught her to walk on a leash, which is one thing we're hoping her new family will be able and willing to do for her. Beaux is housetrained, but her back injury affected her bladder-control and at times she may dribble when she walks toward the door. She wears a doggie diaper most of the time in her foster home. Like most Dachshund's, Beaux has a great appetite! She enjoys carrots and other veggies… and she loves watermelon. She has a few favorite chew toys -- one of which is a golf ball! Beaux is healthy and isn't currently on any special medications other than a supplement for joint support. She is current on her Distemper/Parvo and Rabies vaccine and is spayed, microchipped, Heartworm tested, and had her teeth cleaned. She tested negative for Heartworms, and is on Heartguard for Heartworm prevention. Beaux's adoption fee is $400.00. We accept checks or cash for adoption fees... sorry, we do not take cards. Beaux is a loving, active, and smart little girl who deserves only the best home and family! If you feel that Beaux would be a good match for your family, please submit an application by going to our website foreverhomek9rescue.org for an application and email the completed application to us at foreverhomek9rescue@yahoo.com. You can also submit an application by going to: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ (cut and paste). Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a three-week trial period with all of our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adopting family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have their perfect 'forever' home! Although Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, we never ship or transport our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.

Please read ALL of this listing prior to emailing with questions or inquiries. If you are interested in Biscuit and feel that you would be a good match for him, you MUST FIRST fill out and submit our application at: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ (copy and paste). After we receive your application and review it, we will contact you. Thank you! Biscuit is a cute little 11-lb. Dachshund/Chihuahua mix who looks primarily as a Dachshund and is looking for his forever home and family. He's . about 13-years old, but he certainly doesn't act like a senior... he still has plenty of energy and enjoys exploring his yard and going for long walks. In his foster home, Biscuit gets along well with the other small dogs, both big and small. Even though he does well with other dogs, we feel he'll also do well as an 'only dog', as long as he has human companionship. A retiree or someone who works from home would be perfect for this little gentleman. Biscuit is well housetrained and crate trained, although he doesn't need a crate. . Biscuit gets along with everyone, young and old. He loves going for walks, and walks well on a leash. When home, Biscuit enjoys sitting next to his favorite person or chilling in his comfy bed. Fortunately, he doesn't jump on furniture by himself... he asks to be picked up. Biscuit is neutered, microchipped, current on his Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella and Rabies vaccinations, and tested negative for Heartworms. . Biscuit's adoption fee is $400.00. We accept checks or cash for adoption fees... sorry, we do not take cards. Biscuit is a loving, sweet, and smart little boy who deserves only the best home and family! Story
Meet Stella Rico Estimated Birthday: 12/4/2020 Weight: 37 lbs of pure love Breed: Mixed Breed Queen Adoption Fee: $365 If you’ve been waiting for a sign to adopt a dog… this is it. Her name is Stella Rico, and she is ready to be someone’s whole heart. Stella Rico Rico is a beautiful 5-year-old mixed breed with the kind of soulful eyes that make you feel like she’s been listening to your problems all day — and honestly, she probably has. She’s the perfect medium size at 47 pounds: big enough for real hugs, small enough to fit perfectly beside you on the couch. Let’s talk personality. Stella Rico is calm and composed indoors — a true lady. She walks beautifully on leash (no sled-dog reenactments here), enjoys long strolls through the neighborhood, and is happiest just hanging out with her people. But don’t let her dignified demeanor fool you — she has her playful side too. Toss a ball and she’s ready for fetch. Offer a tug toy and she’s in. And every now and then? Backyard zoomies. The deluxe edition. Fun Fact: Stella Rico watches TV. Intently. She has strong opinions about dogs and cats on screen and isn’t afraid to voice them. Honestly, we love a girl who stays informed. Home Life House trained ✔️ Well-behaved when left alone ✔️ Doesn’t require a crate ✔️ A 4-foot fence is great if you have one, but she doesn’t require a fenced yard Lived in a home with a one-year-old child She’s comfortable around both men and women and truly just wants to be near her people. She’s affectionate without being clingy — the perfect balance. Important to Know: Stella Rico has a strong interest in squirrels (who among us doesn’t?) and she barks at cats, so a cat-free home would likely be best. We haven’t seen how she interacts with other dogs yet. Health Note — Addison’s Disease Stella Rico has Addison’s Disease, which simply means she takes a daily prednisone pill and receives a monthly injection to keep her feeling her best. And she does feel her best — happy, active, and thriving. She doesn’t let it slow her down one bit. Think of it as a small monthly maintenance plan for a very premium dog. Her Backstory Stella Rico is a returned adoption — through absolutely no fault of her own. Sometimes life changes, but what hasn’t changed is Stella Rico’s sweet, steady heart. She deserves the forever she’s been waiting for. Stella Rico is smart, gentle, playful, and deeply loyal. She’s the kind of dog who will quietly sit beside you after a long day, rest her head on your leg, and remind you that you are her whole world. If you’re looking for a best friend who walks beautifully on leash, plays a mean game of tug, supervises wildlife from the window, and binge-watches TV with you… Stella Rico is your girl. She’s not just adoptable. She’s unforgettable. Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee is $365 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Story
Rosie is a great dog, she loves playing with puppies and naps. She loves swimming and playing fetch in the water. I got her when she was 8 weeks and she’s very much used to long car rides/road trips. She would benefit best from someone who works at home because she likes to just hang out wherever people are. She is house trained and if you set up and indoor grass pad she will only use that when you’re gone. She’s also got a coat like silk and is very soft. Due to changes in living situation I’m no longer able to keep her but she’s an amazing dog and I just want her to go to a loving home.
