Meet Kai and Kinder 💜💖 We are a bonded pair!! If you’re interested in us, our adoption fee is only $100 for both! 💖These two pocket-sized bundles of fur are Kinder and Kai. Both are 8 year old long-haired dachshunds. They are sisters and have been together all of their lives. They unfortunately ended up here after their owner passed away unexpectedly. Kinder and Kai are both very well behaved little ladies. With them being 8 years old, they obviously are past their chaos sowing days. They much prefer just hanging out together and taking naps. They both walk very nicely on a leash, and quite enjoy just going out to stretch their legs. They travel nicely in both a crate or in a vehicle. They aren’t the type of dog to come up and demand attention from you, both are happy to just co-exist and hang out near you without being a “velcro-dog”. Though, both have their moments where they will hop up and want some snuggles or a good scratch behind the ear. Both Kinder and Kai are housetrained. They do very well with going potty outside so long as they are kept on a consistent, frequent schedule. They’re older ladies and so they struggle to hold it in if they don’t have access to go outside - and they haven’t quite got a grasp on how puppy pads work just yet. They’re sweet old ladies who deserve to have a comfortable home to live out the remainder of their years. Who knows, since they’re smaller dogs, they both could easily live to be over 15! Either way, these gals both have so much life and love to give, and they would be amazing dogs to anyone looking to add a couple furry companions into their lives. 🐾

Story
Golden years, golden heart! 💛Meet Fife! Fife is a 9-year-old dachshund mix weighing in at 25 lbs. This charming little guy is the definition of a gentle soul and is ready to spend his golden years soaking up love in a forever home.Fife is a laid-back boy who enjoys the simple things in life. He loves sunbathing in a cozy spot or lounging by your side. He’s a big fan of treats (seriously, they’re the way to his heart!) and happily keeps himself entertained with a good chew toy. His favorite place, though, is right next to you, soaking up belly rubs and snuggles.Fife has Addison’s disease, but don’t let that scare you. He’s thriving! With a simple routine of a monthly zycortal injection and a daily prednisone pill, he stays happy and healthy. Not to mention, he takes them like a champ! This sweet boy is both crate trained and potty trained. He’s great about letting you know when he needs to go outside and does best with regular potty breaks. He gets along well with other dogs, and occasionally gets the zoomies to play with his foster siblings. He hasn’t been tested with cats or kids just yet.He loves to go on walks and walks nicely on a leash.Fife is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and on regular heartworm prevention—he’s all ready to head home with you!If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key companion with a heart of gold, Fife might just be your perfect match.. if you’re interested in our sweet old man, please visit: www.pawsofadamscounty.com and complete an adoption applicationWhen applying, please answer each question completely and honestly.
