MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Jemma is a 1.5-year-old Dachshund mix weighing in at just 10 pounds of adorable. This sweet little low rider was picked up as a stray and is still learning to trust, but once she warms up, she’s a total sweetheart. Jemma walks well on a leash and enjoys quiet companionship. She may be shy at first, but with a little patience and love, she’ll blossom into a loyal and loving best friend. Stay tuned for more updates! If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Age: 1.5 years Adoption fee: $400

Story
We adopted Marlee when she was 6 months old. She is a sweet girl who needs someone who is home more than we are and who can play and walk her. She loves walks, being challenged, and is very smart. She is crate trained and will come with her crate. She loves a routine and is very well behaved when on her routine. Marlee would do best in a home where someone is around more often, with no small children. Like many dachshunds, she can be protective and has nipped when startled. She also has allergies that require some attention and regular baths. She will come with her crate and supplies. We want her to go to a home that understands her breed and can give her the time and attention she deserves..

Say hello to Bruno!He is a 4 year old Standard Dachshund/Basset who weighs 42 pounds. Bruno arrived in our care after living in a home with multiple other dogs and not being cared for properly, so he is a sensitive soul at heart with boundless love to give. When he first came to the shelter, he was very shut down and fearful of new people, but since being in a foster home he`s shown what a wonderful and loving dog he is. Bruno is the most snuggly dog you will ever meet and he will capture your heart in no time! Since being in a home he`s been working on potty training, learning some tricks, and getting plenty of playtime with his squeaky toys. In his foster home he lives with another large dog and multiple cats, all of which he does great with. Bruno would do fantastic in a home with a confident dog that could teach him the world isn`t such a scary place. After a slow introduction and a few days to adjust, he is very playful with his foster brother and loves to wrestle. Due to his sensitive nature, he would prefer a low traffic home with older kids or adults only so they can give him space while he`s adjusting to his new environment.Bruno is the best snuggle buddy that you`ll ever meet and he can`t wait to find his forever family. If Bruno looks like the pup for you, give us a call to coordinate a time to come in and meet this handsome guy.
