She is only 15.8lbs and loves cuddling  under the covers in bed and doesn't make a peep all night long. She loves playing with toys, and will play fetch with a ball too. Dinner time is her favorite part of the day, and a nice nap on the couch is something she enjoys as well. She is almost potty trained, but still has pee accidents in the house if I'm not paying attention.. She is slowly warming up to being crated, but will still bark and get quite upset for the most part. I do sit near the crate with yummy treats, and when she quiets down, she gets a treat, which really works. ( I'll keep working on this....)  Please remember that adopting a smaller dog can be a 10-20 year commitment!! New to Paws and Prayers, this sweet 23lb girl is proving to be an amazing velcro cuddle-bug lap dog! Ha! Two year old Dizzy is super sweet, and did wonderful during her medical exam, vaccines, etc today. Dizzy took about 3-5 days to get used to her new doggie brother in the home, so if you have current dogs and are interested in Dizzy, it may take a few days of introductions between a kitchen gate! (She is not a fan of being crated and will act likes she's dying in one.) lol She has been doing great with potty training, and seemed to really enjoy having a fenced in yard to run, play and go potty in! PB is a 21 lb, 1.5yr old Doxie mix of playful and cuddly. He is happiest sharing time with his people. Whether he’s snuggling with his foster sister or practicing his leash skills, he’s learning how wonderful life with a loving family can be.  He’s doing very well with leash training, has almost mastered the stairs, and sleeps through the night! He’s great with dogs, cats, men, and women, travels well in the car, and does well at the vet. He has not been tested with children.  PB is still working on potty training and crate training. He wears his belly wrap comfortably, but he’s still learning to do his business outside. He can get a little jealous when sharing attention and will benefit from patient guidance as he continues learning.  He can get jealous when he is getting attention and another dog comes up for pets also. He can get growly. He has never acted further, but being an only dog in the home will solve that. He’s lacked attention and affection so long, and now he wants it all since he’s finally got it. Looking for a walking buddy who also loves a good snuggle? PB might be your perfect autumn companion!  Adoption is $350 which includes his neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, microchip and current monthly prevention. Ellie is a rescue needing a special home. She requires someone with patience and willing to take time with her. She is about three and has a good 10 + years.Her issue is she is extremely shy.She is sweet once she trusts you . She requires a secure fence as if she gets loose she will run.I have not found that special place.She is not mean but kids make her very nervous.Her best friend is a little poodle i would love to adopt out together but doesnt have to.Must have veterinary reference or another substantial reference.I have tried to rehome her but she doesn’t care for men she is terrified of them . Absolutely must be returned if it doesnt work out NO EXCEPTIONS.Please do not apply if you do not meet the above requirements.Ellie has been spayed . She loves other dogs once she knows they won’t hurt her. She lives with seven dogs. I will keep her until the appropriate home comes along.

Jelly is a loving boy estimated to be around 7 months old. He is 20#, and said to be an Aussie/Doxie mix. He loves toys, wrestling with his foster sister, and snuggling up for kisses. When a loud noise startles him, being held and reassured helps him feel safe. He happily gives kisses right back!  He’s great with dogs, cats, men, and women, rides well in the car, and does well at the vet. Jelly is still learning his puppy manners, including potty training, leash walking, and crate training. He has mastered the stairs! He wears his belly wrap comfortably, but he isn’t house-trained yet. He’s also in the chewing stage and does well when you help him find an appropriate chew toy. With patience, gentle guidance, and plenty of love, this affectionate little boy will make a wonderful companion.
