ADOPT ROMY Meet Romy — Your New Best Friend Romy is an 8-year-old Dachshund who came to us as a breeder surrender, and she is more than ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family of her own. Spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and current on prevention, this sweet girl is ready to go home! Romy is the definition of a Velcro weenie. Wherever you are, that’s exactly where she wants to be. Whether you’re watching TV, working from home, or heading to bed, Romy is happiest by your side. She absolutely loves her people and has so much affection to give. This beautiful girl weighs about 28 pounds and is fully potty trained. She prefers sleeping snuggled up in bed with her human, but she’s also perfectly content in her own bed or a crate when needed. She’s trustworthy when left out of the crate and has great house manners. Romy is very dog-friendly and even makes a wonderful companion for puppies. She enjoys playing and has truly blossomed in foster care, learning how to be a dog and enjoying all the things she missed out on before. She does need to be fed separately from other dogs, and while she can coexist with cats under supervision, she’s a little too curious to be trusted alone with them. After spending the first part of her life being used for breeding, Romy is finally discovering what it means to be loved, cherished, and part of a family. Now all she needs is a forever home to complete her journey. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will adore you with her whole heart, Romy is your girl. Adopt this angel and give her the beautiful life she has always deserved. ##2738086##

Story
Meet Stevie   Stevie is a 6-year-old Dachshund with a heart as big as her personality. Despite a difficult past, this resilient little girl has never lost her love for people and is ready to find a family of her very own.   Due to a traumatic injury before coming into rescue, Stevie is paralyzed and uses a wheelchair to help her get around. Don’t let that fool you—she doesn’t let her disability slow her down! Stevie is determined, adaptable, and full of life.   This sweet girl is the definition of a Velcro dog. She wants to be wherever her person is, whether that’s curled up in your lap, burrowed under a cozy blanket, or following you around the house. She adores belly rubs, scratches, and all the love you can give. Stevie is also quite vocal and isn’t shy about letting you know when she wants attention, a snack, or a little help.   Stevie gets along well with dogs and is kid-friendly, making her a wonderful addition to many different types of homes. After spending years without the veterinary care she desperately needed, she is finally getting the love and support she deserves.   Stevie is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and started on monthly prevention. Now all she needs is a family willing to look beyond her wheelchair and see the incredible, loving companion she truly is.   If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will fill your days with love, cuddles, and plenty of personality, Stevie may be the perfect match for you.   ##2750224##

Dobby has a confession to make… He is NOT a free elf. Not yet. You see, Dobby is still waiting for someone to give him the most important sock of all: a forever home. ❤️ At just 8 months old and under 30 pounds, Dobby is a fun-sized companion with a big personality. He’s a little sassy, incredibly smart, and very food motivated—which means he’s already making great progress learning his basic commands. Dobby enjoys playing with crinkly stuffies and is perfectly happy entertaining himself while his humans are busy. Once he’s burned off his puppy energy, though, his favorite activity is becoming a professional cuddle bug. In fact, the only time he’s really vocal is when he’s requesting extra snuggle time. This athletic little wizard can jump like he’s training for the Dog Olympics and loves finding the highest perch available to survey his kingdom. If there’s a couch, chair, or elevated spot nearby, chances are Dobby has already claimed it. ✨ Dobby’s Magical Traits ✨ 🧦 House trained 🧦 Good with dogs of all sizes 🧦 Expert car rider 🧦 Learning commands quickly 🧦 Loves crinkly toys 🧦 Olympic-level hops 🧦 Expert cuddler 🧦 Under 30 pounds of pure charm Dobby is searching for a family who will love his goofy personality, appreciate his cuddly side, and finally grant him the freedom every house-elf dreams of. Could you be the one to give Dobby his sock?

🎾🌭 Meet Linc (aka Lincoln)! 🌭🎾 Linc is a 1.5-year-old Dachshund with BIG energy, strong opinions, and one true love in life: FETCH. Seriously… if throwing toys were an Olympic sport, he’d take gold 🏅 Oh—and yes… he’s bilingual Linc understands Spanish, so feel free to impress him with your commands en español 😎 Linc’s vibe: 🏠 House trained & kennel trained 🚪 Uses a doggie door like a champ 😺 Cat-approved roommate 🚫 🐕 Needs to be an only dog 🌳 Requires a yard with a stockade fence 🗣️ Very vocal, so NO apartment living Important details (read carefully): 🚫 Absolutely no children — adult-only home required 🎾 Needs a human who will play fetch CONSTANTLY 🐾 Will jump, claw, and demand toy throws (enthusiastically) 🧍‍♂️ Needs someone who can handle an energetic, physical little guy 🦮 Not quite comfortable on a leash yet — will need patience and confidence Linc would thrive with a dog-savvy person who enjoys an interactive, high-energy relationship and doesn’t mind being bossed around by a very determined sausage dog 😅 He’s loyal, hilarious, and ALL IN once he finds his person. 🏡 Home visit/check required to make sure it’s the right fit. If you’re looking for a quirky, toy-obsessed Dachshund who will keep you moving, laughing, and throwing toys nonstop — Linc is your guy 💙🐾 Lincoln is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, HW negative, current on heart worm preventative and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250. To adopt Lincoln, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application to apply.
