I got Benny from a facebook page trying to rehome him around 2 years ago. He is around 5 years old. We need him to go to a home with a backyard and no other dogs, he has energy and an apartment lifestyle isnt for him. He gets anxious around new people and animals. He is a very sweet boy and needs time to get used to you and trust you. We can tell he has probably been abused in a past home also. He is good around kids who respect him and aren't anxious around him. Younger kids or kids with anxiety are not a good mix with him. He does good home alone as long as no food is to where he can get it. He isn’t destructive and only chews his own toys. He is good with my rabbit and cat but we had to slowly (2 weeks) get him used to them.

Spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and current on prevention, this sweet girl is ready to go home! Romy is the definition of a Velcro weenie. Wherever you are, that’s exactly where she wants to be. Whether you’re watching TV, working from home, or heading to bed, Romy is happiest by your side. She absolutely loves her people and has so much affection to give. This beautiful girl weighs about 28 pounds and is fully potty trained. She prefers sleeping snuggled up in bed with her human, but she’s also perfectly content in her own bed or a crate when needed. She’s trustworthy when left out of the crate and has great house manners. Romy is very dog-friendly and even makes a wonderful companion for puppies. She enjoys playing and has truly blossomed in foster care, learning how to be a dog and enjoying all the things she missed out on before. She does need to be fed separately from other dogs, and while she can coexist with cats under supervision, she’s a little too curious to be trusted alone with them. After spending the first part of her life being used for breeding, Romy is finally discovering what it means to be loved, cherished, and part of a family. Now all she needs is a forever home to complete her journey. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will adore you with her whole heart, Romy is your girl.
