Nimbus is approximately three years-old and we think he’s a mini-pin or rat terrier/chi mix. He’s very shy when he first meets someone new and may snap if grabbed by someone he doesn’t know. However, once he has gotten to know you, Nimbus is as sweet and loving as they come. He wants nothing more than to snuggle up with his person on the couch and give kisses. Nimbus is great with other dogs, both big and small. He tends to be more on the dominant side and loves to play chase and wrestle in the yard. His zoomies are a joy to watch! Cats are an unknown, but I have a feeling he would be fine with them. Nimbus is crate trained and sleeps in his “den” at night and during the day while foster mom is at work. He’s very good in his crate and goes in without a fuss but does appreciate a chew toy to keep him busy. Nimbus is not 100% housebroken but is very close and does great as long as he is let outside often. While not a particularly yappy dog, he will definitely let you know if a person is at the door or acting suspicious while passing by the house. He’s got to protect his people, you know! Hi! My name is Midge! I am a 6 year old, 34 lbs dachshund mix. I'm on the hunt for my forever home! My favorite things to do are to go exploring in the backyard, go on walks, or just act like a cat and lounge on the top of my foster mom's couches. I love belly rubs, squeaky toys, my purple blanket, and burrowing under the covers to sleep with you at night. Things that I dislike are windshield wipers going in the car, and reflective lights from things like the sun hitting your phone. One super quirky thing about me that the new owner should know is if I am out walking and a loud truck is coming or a truck with a trailer is coming, I will absolutely try to run towards it. What can I say? We all have our quirks. I am potty trained and I walk fairly well on a leash. I am very food motivated, but when it comes to eating, I'm a grazer. I would be best as an only dog. My foster mom tells me I especially can't live with cats because I have a high prey drive. I try to tell her they are just so fun to chase! I think kids are pretty cool and make great friends.
