We love to “talk” to each other while chasing toys and playing games of get the toy. We give the very best puppy kisses and adore attention. We are great with other dogs, kids, and people of all ages. After a good play session, we turn into total cuddle bugs and love to snuggle right into your arms. We’re ready to bring lots of love, laughter, and puppy fun to our forever homes! Local adoption fee is $350(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $600 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Freddy is a high-energy, happy-go-lucky boy who is great with dogs and kids! He loves to do big zoomies in a circle, then race right back to you for cuddles. After a long day of playing fetch—where he happily chases the ball, even if he doesn’t always bring it back—Freddy is more than ready to snuggle in. If you’re on the couch, expect him to curl right into your back and soak up the love. Freddy is a joyful, affectionate boy who is absolutely ready to find his forever home. If you want it shorter or extra playful, I can tweak the tone too Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Little Guthrie was caught on the streets of Youngstown by some good Samaritans and taken to the pound. He was so deeply matted that he had to be anesthetized so he could be shaved down.  His teeth were rotten and after a much needed dental, he was able to keep five of them.    The main foible we have encountered with him is that he will have wetting accidents if not monitored and taken out regularly, so he may have to wear a belly band when his human isn’t home or able to keep an eye on him.  Guthrie keeps his belly band dry at night, and doesn’t have accidents wearing one if someone is around and lets him out every few hours or so, but when his foster mom leaves and puts one on him, he sometimes wets in it while she’s away.   He will also have occasional peeing accidents in the house if he’s not wearing one and not being watched.  If he’s crated, he will rub his little nose red and raw trying to get out, so we don’t feel that’s an option for him.  We suspect part of the neglect he experienced previously was having to wear them all the time and not changing them if they became soiled.  It may just be what got accustomed to after his former owner couldn’t or simply didn’t take him outside and that’s all he knows how to do.  It may also be partially due to a separation anxiety response.  A forever home where someone is around most of the time would be ideal for our little man. He’s never once had the other kind of accident in the house, btw - just the wetting kind. Other than that, Guthrie’s a sweet old guy still got quite a bit spunkiness when the mood strikes him   - especially when his person comes home or at mealtime.  He loves his foster mama, long naps on the couch and treats!  In fact, the only things he needs to make him perfectly happy are a comfy couch to doze on, a person to cuddle next to, and good eats! Does this little guy sound like someone you could open your heart and home to?  You can easily fill out an adoption application by clicking here:     adoption application.   For anyone viewing this on Petfinder, if you are interested in adopting this animal you will need to go to our website www.rosesrescue.net to fill out the online adoption application.
