Meet Daisy! An older, gentler soul that is looking for a quiet, low-traffic home that she can call her own. Daisy can take some time to warm up to new people and new environments, but once she does, she is an absolute lap dog. She is quick to demand your attention by gently pawing at your leg for love. Daisy does best with dogs her size and her temperament, larger/energetic dogs are a bit too much for her at this point. She also gets along well with cats, which makes sense since her personality resembles one. If you are interested in Daisy, please call us here at (401)846-8276. Their sister Daphne has already been adopted, and now these two cuties are hoping their forever families find them next! These puppies have an incredible rescue story. All three were found abandoned under a bridge in the deep South, frightened and alone, until a kind-hearted good Samaritan spotted them and brought them safely into rescue. They’ve been loved and cared for ever since and are now thriving, happy little puppies. About the Girls: • Fancy – The scruffy one of the bunch! She has an adorable wire-haired coat and the sweetest expression. Fancy is playful, cuddly, and full of personality. • Flossy – Smooth-coated and beautiful! Flossy is just as loving, gentle, and sweet as her sister — her sleek coat and soft eyes make her irresistible. Both puppies are friendly, affectionate, and ready to bring joy to their new homes. They love attention, playtime, and being close to their people. They would do wonderfully with families, other pets, or anyone looking for a loyal little companion. Age:   approx 3 years old   Weight: 26  lbs My adoption fee is $ 575  which includes transportation charges to the Northeast. Check out this Awesome Blossom! Blossom is now in foster in Rhode Island and all set for adoption!  And she has come a long way to get here.  This 3 year old, 26 pound Dachshund mix wandered up heavily pregnant to a home in Texas but the homeowners did not allow dogs indoors and refused her care.  A wonderful volunteer with our Texas partner stepped up for Blossom and two days later she had five gorgeous puppies, who were eventually weaned and adopted.  When it was time for Blossom to be spayed, she was found to be heartworm positive, so needed to undergo treatment.  Now she is SITTING ON GO, spayed, treated and ready for a bright future.This lady has a stunning and unique black/brown coat that changes color according to the light!  Her Texas rescuers call her one of the sweetest dogs they have ever met.  She enjoys meeting people, gets along with other dogs, and has done well with cats.  Blossom is crate trained and appears to have her house training established Blossom is a gentle, calm girl and would be a wonderful companion for most anyone.   If you serious about adopting, the first step is to fill out an adoption application on our website:   https://www.smalldogrescuene.org/December 2, 2025, 6:44 pm
