Life hasn't always been kind to sweet little Luna, but she hasn't let that change her loving heart.
Luna is a beautiful little Dachshund, about 2 years old, who came into our rescue after her family lost their home. With the electricity and water being shut off, they moved away and left their dogs behind. Luna was doing her best to care for her three tiny puppies until help arrived. Another rescue welcomed her babies, and Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue took Luna so she could finally be the one receiving the love and care she deserved.
Now its Lunas turn to find a forever family.
She is house-trained, incredibly sweet, and loves everyone she meets. Luna gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and children, making her an easy addition to almost any family. She enjoys spending time with her people, soaking up affection, and simply being part of the family.
Luna does have one very important request for her future home...
She sleeps in the bed.
After everything she's been through, we think she's earned that privilege! If you're looking for a cuddle buddy who will happily curl up beside you every night, Luna is your girl. If you're firmly a no dogs on the bed household, she probably isn't the right match—and that's okay. We want Luna to have the home she's been dreaming of.

Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you.
The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter.

Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have.
NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption.
If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement.
We DO NOT adopt to anyone under the age of 21
