Who needs a little Pixel in their life? Meet this adorable Doxy mix, he’s only four months!  Pixel was abandoned with his littermates in Arkansas. Luckily, for him, he was rescued and now fully vetted. He’s been neutered, microchip, up-to-date on all juvenile vaccinations, on a heartworm/flea and tick prevention. He has a very spunky personality! He’s a fun, fun dog to be around. Besides, he is so adorable. Just look at him! His adoption fee is $650. ##2791506##

ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     Sweet 4m old Maxi from Puerto Rico.  All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there)Twitter: zanisff Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! Story
Meet Luna! Adoption Fee: $525 includes transport Adoption Application - Copy & Paste https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 Life hasn't always been kind to sweet little Luna, but she hasn't let that change her loving heart. Luna is a beautiful little Dachshund, about 2 years old, who came into our rescue after her family lost their home. With the electricity and water being shut off, they moved away and left their dogs behind. Luna was doing her best to care for her three tiny puppies until help arrived. Another rescue welcomed her babies, and Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue took Luna so she could finally be the one receiving the love and care she deserved. Now its Lunas turn to find a forever family. She is house-trained, incredibly sweet, and loves everyone she meets. Luna gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and children, making her an easy addition to almost any family. She enjoys spending time with her people, soaking up affection, and simply being part of the family. Luna does have one very important request for her future home... She sleeps in the bed. After everything she's been through, we think she's earned that privilege! If you're looking for a cuddle buddy who will happily curl up beside you every night, Luna is your girl. If you're firmly a no dogs on the bed household, she probably isn't the right match—and that's okay. We want Luna to have the home she's been dreaming of. If you're ready to give this resilient little girl the love, comfort, and soft bed she's always deserved, please send in an adoption application. Luna is ready to spend the rest of her life being someone's cherished best friend. Here's the adoption application, please copy & paste. https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 **To see all of our pets available for adoption, please copy this link. https://www.petfinder.com/search/pets-for-adoption/?shelter_id%5B0%5D=AL450&sort%5B0%5D=recently_added Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you. The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter. PDAR.info@gmail.com COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have. NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption. If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement. We DO NOT adopt to anyone under the age of 21

Story
Annie is ready to waddle into your home and join your family! This adorable 12 year old dachshund recently arrived at VPR after her owner passed. She's been very brave during this new phase of her life, and we know she'll be so happy to be a beloved pet once again. Annie loves people and gets along well with other dogs. She's happy to be picked up, enjoys sitting in a warm lap, and is always ready for a good nap. At nearly 17 pounds, Annie is carrying a little extra weight. Because of this, she has a recessed vulva, which can make her more prone to UTIs and infections. Helping her reach a healthier weight with portion control and some additional exercise will benefit her overall health and her joints. Until then, we recommend gently wiping her clean after she goes potty to help prevent irritation or infection. Annie's left eye was damaged from a previous trauma and is non-visual. The good news is that it isn't causing her any pain, and it does not need to be surgically removed. She will need a dental in the future, which Vintage Pet Rescue will cover at the adopter's vet. Annie is currently finishing a course of antibiotics for Anaplasma, and her bloodwork looked good overall, other than a slightly low white blood cell count. She should have this rechecked in a few months to monitor for any changes. Annie is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. If you're interested in adopting Annie, please submit an application at https://www.vintagepetrescue.org/adopt
