DOB 12-7-2024 Wolfie is a gorgeous Red and White Long Hair! This beautiful boy loves everyone, likes to play with toys and his friends. He is neutered, heartworm negative and has received a Proheart6 preventative injection, up to date on shots and is now looking for a loving home. His adoption fee is 900.00 and his transport fee is 135.00. HEARTS is our transport, they run every 2 weeks. It's the best transport and the only one we will use. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
This lovely senior lady is Bethany, affectionately known as "Bee". Bee came into foster care from the Montgomery County VA shelter where she was an unclaimed stray. She is a very special girl as she is between 13 and 15 years old and is blind. Once familiar with her surroundings, Bee maneuvers well and is fond of exploring the outdoor spaces. Bee has recently had a dental and lost no teeth! She also had a polyp removed from her ear which was causing some chronic infections, which are now cleared up. Because of her blindness Bee struggles with housetraining, so a strict schedule of potty breaks would help her to get back to her routine. Bee would love a family where she could have a safe space to roam and enjoy all the smells, get lots of pets and love, and of course treats! If you would like to offer Bee a quiet, loving retirement home, she would love to be your new BFF!

Story
Meet Thea: The Ultimate Snuggle Girl Thea is a stunning caramel-and-white Dachshund mix, approximately 2–3 years old, who is ready to find her forever lap. If you’re looking for a true “burrower,” look no further! Thea loves the cozy life and is a gold-medal snuggler who’s happiest tunneled under a soft blanket beside her favorite person. She’s also the perfect co-pilot for weekend errands because she absolutely loves car rides. Whether you’re heading to the park for a stroll or just cruising around town, Thea is always ready to hop in and enjoy the adventure. She does have a strong chase instinct and will go after cats and squirrels, so she should always remain on a leash outdoors. The Essentials • Spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated • Current on heartworm prevention • House trained and leash trained • Understands pee pads • Not a fan of rainy weather, so she may occasionally have an indoor accident during storms Her Personality Thea is what you’d call a “slow-burn” sweetheart. New people can make her a little anxious, and she tends to use her voice when meeting someone for the first time. She’s looking for a patient adopter who understands that her barking is simply her way of saying, “I’m nervous right now.” Once Thea feels safe and learns to trust you, her affectionate side shines through. The barking fades, the snuggling begins, and she’ll happily burrow under a blanket for a cozy nap by your side. If you have a quieter home, an open passenger seat, and plenty of fuzzy blankets, Thea just might be your perfect match. Thea’s adoption fee is $400. Please apply for her at Coaldr.org

Story
Bear is a 6-year-old shorty looking for his forever home! This boy is approximately 18 lbs and is the sweetest guy. Because of how short he is, we do believe he is some sort of Bassett mix! He loves other dogs and is currently being fostered in a sanctuary along the Texas/Mexico border. This sanctuary is only a temporary place to house animals while we find them their forever homes. So small or big dogs, he gets along wonderfully with! Bear has met kitties and gets along great with them also! The sanctuary has inside cats that all dogs get along with. Kids? No problem. Bear just asks they love him a lot as he has a lot of love to give. A fun quirk about Bear: He ALWAYS has to have a blanket. He has an attachment with his blankets, no matter how hot it is. He covers himself with it, then will uncover himself, go run and play, eat his food and go right back under his blanket. He is OBSESSED with a blanket and its absolutely adorable. He will drag it everywhere he can! Bear is house and crate trained. Bear used to have an owner, but he was surrendered as his owner was elderly and got sent to a nursing home and could no longer keep him. This boy is quirky, fun, playful, gentle and all around loving. If you have blankets, that’s even more of a plus! Please consider giving Bear his forever home. Bear will be fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on dewormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We ONLY do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed ($525) INCLUDES transport from Texas to the location where this animal is posted in. Transport goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks: (Certain areas vary depending on adopters in the area) Albany and Latham, NY Wells and Brattleboro, VT Willington, New Haven and Dayville, CT Port Chester, NY Dayton and Akron, OH Grove City and Bloomsburg, PA Ridgefield and Mt Laurel, NJ White Marsh/Elkton, MD Falls Church, VA We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home.

These pups are in Pawtucket, Rhode Island too!

Story
Meet Brunson - The Big Hearted. At just 2 years old and 25 pounds, Brunson is proof that some dogs are born with hearts too big for the world they've been given. Brunson was abandoned behind a government building in Puerto Rico, where he spent over a month trying to survive on his own. The wooded area behind the building was home to packs of other dogs, and because Brunson is naturally so friendly, he constantly tried to make friends. Sadly, many of those encounters ended with him being attacked. Again and again, he approached other dogs with a wagging tail, never understanding why they didn't want to play.

Today, Brunson is living in foster care in Puerto Rico, and he has blossomed into the sweetest companion imaginable. He is incredibly affectionate and happiest when he's curled up next to his people. He's a laid-back, sleepy boy who would much rather spend the afternoon cuddling on the couch than causing any trouble. He loves everyone he meets and gets along beautifully with kids, cats, and other dogs. His foster describes him as the kind of dog who simply wants to love and be loved.

After everything he's been through, Brunson deserves a family that will never leave him behind again. He is currently being fostered in Puerto Rico and is available for adoption throughout the United States. Transportation to his forever home is included in his adoption fee.

If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate best friend with a heart of gold, Brunson is waiting patiently to meet you.
