He’s healthy, neutered, and ready to start his new life. Boone’s story is a sad one, but thankfully, it has a happy ending. He was abandoned at a business along a busy local highway, where he reportedly waited for a week and a half before someone finally picked him up and brought him to safety. We can’t imagine what this little guy went through, waiting day after day for someone to help him. Sadly, no one ever came looking for him. But that turned out to be Boone’s lucky day because he became part of our rescue, and now we’re determined to find him the wonderful home he deserves! Despite everything he’s been through, Boone is just as sweet as can be. He’s a lovable little fellow with so much to offer a family. Boone has already spent enough time waiting for someone to care. DOB 12-7-2024 Wolfie is a gorgeous Red and White Long Hair! This beautiful boy loves everyone, likes to play with toys and his friends. He is neutered, heartworm negative and has received a Proheart6 preventative injection, up to date on shots and is now looking for a loving home. His adoption fee is 900.00 and his transport fee is 135.00. HEARTS is our transport, they run every 2 weeks. It's the best transport and the only one we will use. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. Meet Willow, a small, gentle soul with the sweetest personality. While she may take a little time to warm up to new people and situations, once she trusts you, she is incredibly loving and devoted.Willow was rescued alongside her puppy on the side of a busy Tennessee highway. She still carries a mark around her neck from what was likely an old collar, rope, or chain — a quiet reminder of the difficult life she left behind.Now safe in foster care, Willow is blossoming into a wonderful companion. She is calm, low-key, and happiest simply relaxing with her people or curling up on the couch nearby. She can be a bit skittish with new things, so she would thrive with someone patient and understanding who will help continue building her confidence.Although it took her a few days to settle in, Willow now lives peacefully with seven other dogs of all ages in her foster home. She walks beautifully on leash, does well meeting people and dogs while out, rides nicely in the car, and is fully housetrained with no accidents. This silly boy is full of energy, curiosity, and love — basically a furry toddler who keeps life exciting.  Leo would   love   a fenced-in yard where he can zoom around and explore, and he’d be thrilled to have another playful dog (or a few!) to wrestle and romp with. He’s all about fun, cuddles, and a little bit of mischief — you’ll definitely want to keep an eye on your shoes, because this charming “devil child” likes to test his limits in the most adorable way.  No condo or apartment living for this boy as he is very vocal.  Leo is working with a trainer on stranger danger. He becomes vocal and will retreat.  The trainer feels he is best suited for an older, energetic retired or work from home couple.     With his goofy grin and happy heart, Leo will bring laughter and love to any family lucky enough to call him theirs.     *** As part of the adoption donation this pup will participate in FOA's spay/neuter program or other programs available through FOHA. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters.
