Story
DOB 12-7-2024 Wolfie is a gorgeous Red and White Long Hair! This beautiful boy loves everyone, likes to play with toys and his friends. He is neutered, heartworm negative and has received a Proheart6 preventative injection, up to date on shots and is now looking for a loving home. His adoption fee is 900.00 and his transport fee is 135.00. HEARTS is our transport, they run every 2 weeks. It's the best transport and the only one we will use. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Linus is a sweet, cuddly dachshund born in 2018 who absolutely loves being close to his people. His favorite things include going for walks, soaking up the sun, snuggling on the couch, and burrowing under cozy blankets. He’s also a loyal little protector who likes to keep an eye on the house and let you know when someone’s nearby. As much as we love him, our growing family (with a toddler and another baby on the way) has made it difficult to give Linus the environment he truly needs. He can feel anxious around a busy toddler, and we don’t feel it’s fair for him to spend so much time separated from the family. We are looking for a loving home where Linus can feel safe, relaxed, and get all the cuddles and attention he deserves — ideally a calmer environment without young children and other dogs. This is not an easy decision for us, and we want to make sure Linus finds the perfect match. If you or someone you know could give him a wonderful home, please reach out ❤️

PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Puddin! She currently weighs 6 pounds. Puddin, Oreo, Sweetie, and French Fry had Parvo but all have been treated and are doing great! As a puppy, she will need someone who is home for most of the day to provide a lot of attention and consistent expectations. Puppy classes and training are a must to ensure that she grows up to be a well behaved and loyal companion. She would do best in a home with kids 5+. Her foster says, “She is just the sweetest! She love humans and to sleep in your lap.”A refundable pay/neuter surgery deposit of $250 is required. The surgery will be coordinated and paid for by BDC and done in Franklin by six months of age, so adopters must be willing to comply with this MA regulation and within driving distance of Franklin. She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on June 19 or possibly a bit earlier. Story
Meet Fudge! Fudge is approximately 5 years old, 13 lb currently, and he may have some Dachshund/Chihuahua in his mix! In his foster home, he is working hard on his house training, crate-training, and leash walking. He could join households with kids 10+, and other dogs. No cats, please! His foster says, `Fudge was one of the little dogs that we took in because they were living outside tied to a tree. He is so much happier now, settling in nicely, and healing from his neuter and hernia surgery. This sweet boy is dog friendly, loves human contact, and is a great snuggler. Sometimes he sneaks into the bedroom to nap with my husband. He is far too interested in cats though, and we think he would be better without kitty companions. He has never hurt a cat. 5 yrs 12.8 lbs chihuahua/dachshund.`He is available for adoption in Westminster or Hopkinton by appointment.
