He’s 13 but don’t let his age fool you, he is always ready for an adventure, no matter what the weather is. But he is also perfectly content curling up on the couch next to his human. He gets along with humans (even babies) and other dogs, has not been tested around cats but would likely do fine, he prefers pups of his size to play with. He is house-trained and also crate-trained and can be trusted left out roaming around when no one is home. He has leash reactivity especially when he sees other dogs on walks. On a very rare occasion he will bark to alert you someone is at the door, but most of the times he will let his foster brothers do the work. He is a gentle and loving soul and would make him a perfect fit for almost any family. This sweet Dachshund mix girl is called Cece and what a precious girl she has been in someone’s life for the past 5 years. Unfortunately her mom just passed away and Cece is heartbroken and not without a home to live in. Some kind friend of the family took her in and has asked Critter Cavalry Rescue for help to find her the most perfect home to welcome her in to their life. Cece is perfection in so many ways. At 5 years of age she is 20 pounds and a trim little girl that loves to go for walks and explore the beautiful outdoor yard that she once lived in. She is house broken , but her previous owner, who passed away, had a doggy door going in and out and so her current foster does ask her often if she needs to go outside to potty. Cece is great living with other dogs and she currently lives with 2 younger male dogs and is like a mother figure to them. She does insist on privacy when eating so she is fed by herself. Her previous owner had a cat that she lived harmoniously with. She is not kennel trained but we are working on it, and she loves to sleep with you in bed at night. This little princess is such a cuddler, and she loves to play with toys and she loves to show you the toys whenever you get home from work (she is so very proud). She naps a lot , but does get up and play whenever she feels like it. She is looking for a forever home to claim for the next 10 possible years of her life. Dachshunds have a long life line and we see how very healthy and beautiful that Cece is and we know she has so much more time to love someone and bring great years of happiness. My name is Jason aka Noah, as in the father of all mankind:) I have been through alot in my life, I started out in a horrible hoarding situation with my sisters, brothers, uncles and mother. I knew in my heart of hearts that there is a much better world out there. And there is!! I was saved with about 88 dogs and pups, the ladies who drive out to save all of us are absolute saints.... So, back to my origin story, I had an unbelievable hernia out my back end that made my life hell...so the ladies git me to the rescue and 3 SURGERIES later, I am living a normal life 😀 I am a sweet boy, but having come from the situation i did, i am not a cuddle bug. Meet Shautae! This shortstack of sweetness wants your help finding a forever family. Shautae, we we affectionately call Taetae and Shorty, is an absolutely adorable mixed breed with an estimated birthday of 09/01/2020. There has been some debate amoung our staff about what breed she is, but we have settled on a Pointer-Basset hound mix, weighing in aroudn 45lbs. What Shorty lack in height, she more than makes up for in her loving personality. Shorty makes friends as easy as pie, and you'd be hard pressed to find someone who wasn't charmed by her tiny little legs. If you were to ask our staff about some of Taetae's favorite things, they would probably tell you how much she loves to lounge in the sun! This beautiful girl will take every chance she can get to lay out on one of her beds in the sunshine and catch some rays. Shautae also loves the company of other dogs, but as always we require a meet and greet if you already have any at home. She is suited to a home without cats.
