Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Waldo Waldo is a sweet, soulful 7-year-old Dachshund with the kind of personality that instantly makes you feel at home. He adores curling up under blankets, snoozing in a cozy dog bed (or yours!), and spending quality time relaxing in a recliner with his people. His gentle, affectionate nature makes him a wonderful companion. Waldo gets along well with dogs of all sizes and has a calm, loving demeanor. He’s truly a cuddle-bug who just wants to be close to his humans. Medically, Waldo has Degenerative Valve Disease (advanced) and is currently classified as Stage B2. He is stable and doing well on Vetmedin 1.25 mg, one tablet twice daily, which he takes without issue. His medication is very manageable and costs approximately $150 for 100 tablets through Chewy. Waldo recently had a dental cleaning with five problematic teeth removed and is feeling much better. A few things to note: Waldo can be a bit of an escape artist, so he’ll need to be supervised when outside. He is looking for a home with no children under the age of 10, where he can enjoy a calm, predictable environment. Waldo may have some medical needs, but he has so much love to give. If you’re looking for a devoted little companion who will happily snuggle beside you and warm your heart, Waldo may be your perfect match. ❤️ Medical Notes: Neutered Vaccinated Dewormed Microchipped Heartworm Negative ProHeart 12 Injection Senior Exam + Bloodwork (all levels within normal limits) - diagnosed with Degenerative Valve Disease (advanced)  of the heart, maintained on Vetmedin 1.25 mg - 1 tablet orally twice a day (costs $150 through Chewy.com for 100 tablets) Dental Cleaning with 5 problematic teeth being removed APPLY HERE Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 6, 2026, 5:31 pm

Story
Naomi is the kind of little dog who makes you stop, smile, and fall in love all in the same moment. This beautiful Dachshund mix girl has the most heart-melting smile and a gentle, loving spirit that quietly reaches right into your heart. At just 1 year old and full grown at a slim 14 pounds, she’s the perfect petite companion—with a limousine, extra-long little body that only adds to her charm. What we love most are those adorable short legs, with her tiny toes turned outward, making her absolutely unforgettable.   Naomi’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. She was rescued by a kind woman who travels the country in a tractor trailer, giving dogs like Naomi a chance at a better life. For days, Naomi rode along in the cab, surrounded by other small dogs all hoping for rescue. When Critter Cavalry stepped in to save her and others, her new chapter finally began.   At first, Naomi wasn’t sure who to trust—but watching her slowly open up has been something truly special. Day by day, her sweet personality has blossomed as she’s learned that she is safe, loved, and finally home. She does wonderfully with other dogs and is playful, gentle, and beautifully mannered. She’s housebroken, walks nicely with a harness, and carries herself with a quiet grace that makes you want to protect her forever.   Naomi is more than just a pretty face—she’s a little soul who has learned to trust again, and she’s ready to give her whole heart to someone who will cherish her. She’s healthy, spayed, heartworm negative, and completely ready to start her forever life.   If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind companion with beauty, sweetness, and that irresistible low-rider charm, Naomi is your girl. Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to bring this special little lady home.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.April 4, 2026, 9:42 pm

Story
Meet Shautae!  This shortstack of sweetness wants your help finding a forever family. Shautae, we we affectionately call Taetae and Shorty, is an absolutely adorable mixed breed with an estimated birthday of 09/01/2020. There has been some debate amoung our staff about what breed she is, but we have settled on a Pointer-Basset hound mix, weighing in aroudn 45lbs. What Shorty lack in height, she more than makes up for in her loving personality. Shorty makes friends as easy as pie, and you'd be hard pressed to find someone who wasn't charmed by her tiny little legs. If you were to ask our staff about some of Taetae's favorite things, they would probably tell you how much she loves to lounge in the sun! This beautiful girl will take every chance she can get to lay out on one of her beds in the sunshine and catch some rays. Shautae also loves the company of other dogs, but as always we require a meet and greet if you already have any at home. She is suited to a home without cats. Shautae does great with kids around 10yr and up, but younger kids tend to stress her out, so a home without little ones is best.    Interested? Call us at 615-446-7387 ##2172428##
