Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Samantha & Josie ❤️ Samantha and Josie are a sweet bonded pair looking for a calm, loving home where they can stay together forever. These two girls came from the same place and have formed a special connection that brings comfort and confidence to each other, so they must be adopted together. Samantha is a larger Dachshund mix at around 20 pounds who came to us already missing one eye. Unfortunately, we don’t know how or when it happened, but despite everything she’s been through, Samantha is incredibly loving and just wants to be close to her people. If you have a lap, she’ll happily claim it! She can be a little unsure around strangers at first and may bark until she feels safe, but once she trusts you, she is affectionate, loyal, and happiest curled up beside you. Josie, around 25 pounds, was very shy and reserved when she first arrived in foster care, but she has blossomed beautifully with patience and love. She now enjoys interacting with her foster dog siblings, going outside, and following her people from room to room. Like Samantha, Josie loves being close to her humans and is happiest snuggled up nearby. Both girls enjoy companionship more than toys, though Samantha occasionally likes chewing on a Nylabone. They are crate trained and do well eating and sleeping in their crates, though they would much rather be cuddled up next to their people. Josie is still working on potty training and continues to make great progress. Samantha and Josie both thrive in a calm environment with patient people who can give them the time, affection, and reassurance they deserve. They have not been tested with children or cats, as their foster home does not have either. These girls have been through so much, but together they’ve found comfort, confidence, and friendship. Now they’re searching for a forever family willing to open their hearts and home to both of them. In return, Samantha and Josie will fill your life with loyalty, love, and endless cuddles. Story
Wendell is a young VERY SWEET daschund mix so has short little legs. He is mixed with who knows how many other breeds but he is cute as heck!  Wendell has come to us Heartworm positive and has entered the treatment phase of that process. He also does have an old injury to his hindquarters that will require an FHO surgery once he is through the HW treatment so probably early Winter of 2026. He also has a neurological issue from that injury (the vet and surgeon agree that he was probably hit by a car and not treated) that does effect his sciatica and causes his little butt to shift out from underneath him sometimes. But please know that NONE of this stops this little guy!!! He is an active, fun little dude who seems good with other dogs and interested in cats. He would probably make a great family pet and is suuuuch a good boy! He is also crate trained and does great in one! The one thing it is important to note for Wendell is that he does have some fecal incontinence which is probably a direct result of his injury and will most likely not improve which is sad because he is only three. BUT. We have learned that if Wendell has a doggie door he can use to access a yard (while you are home of course) then he does seem to have enough notice and time to get out to the yard to potty. This would probably not make him appropriate for an apartment setting though since it would be challenging for them to have a doggie door and a yard. If that were the case, we think he could be in an apartment. Also know that Bonaparte's would be happy to continue the cost of treating his HW and also the surgery when we got to that point.August 19, 2026, 5:22 pm

Story
Meet Oscar 🐾 Oscar is a one-of-a-kind little guy who is part Chihuahua, part Pittie, part mystery, and 100% lovable! With his long body and short little legs, he’s basically a hot dog with a Pittie smile. 😂❤️ Oscar is super affectionate, playful, and cuddly. At just barely a year old he has plenty of energy and loves to play, but when playtime is over, he’s more than happy to curl up with his favorite person. He also does wonderfully with other dogs and sleeps like a champ in his crate. 💤 He’s mostly potty trained and is learning more every day. He’s also apparently pursuing a career in interior design—he loves rearranging the dog beds and toys to create what he believes is the perfect layout. 😂 Oscar does have a mischievous side. He LOVES food and may occasionally jump on tables or go looking for snacks. In fact, this little genius has figured out how to open Tupperware! We believe some of this comes from his history of food insecurity, so he’s still learning that he doesn’t have to worry about where his next meal is coming from. ❤️ Oscar is sweet, silly, energetic, affectionate, and just the right amount of naughty. He’s looking for a family who will give him patience, structure, cuddles, playtime, and most importantly, the chance to finally feel safe and loved. Oscar may rearrange your furniture, steal your heart, and possibly figure out your Tupperware… but we promise he’s worth it. 🐶❤️ Local adoption fee is $350 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)
