Twizzler arrived in our care with two other dogs who were also named after candy, and with her sweet, gentle personality, it's easy to see why. Twizzler is a smaller dog with a long body and adorable short legs to match. When she first arrived in our care, she was shy around new people, but she has been gaining confidence every day. As soon as you walk up to her kennel, she eagerly wags her tail, excited to go for a walk with you or relax by your side sunbathing. Twizzler also loves bringing her toys outside with her, especially her favorite stuffed animals. Twizzler has an old, healed elbow injury that will need monitored for her lifetime. As she adjusts to the comforts of life off of the streets, we are working closely with our veterinarians to follow the best medical path forward. Thankfully, it doesn't seem to dampen her spirit, but to keep her comfortable and healthy, she'll likely benefit from maintaining a low activity level. Twizzler may be shy at first, but with love and patience, she'll become your most loyal companion. She gets along beautifully with people, other dogs, and even cats, making her an easy addition to just about any home.Tali does have a heart murmur and takes a daily heart medication, which she happily eats mixed into a little canned food.
