Remi's story began when she, her brother, and their younger siblings were being given away from the bed of a truck in a parking lot. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan stepped in and brought them to safety, giving them the chance at the loving future they deserve. She was surrendered to me to foster after being dumped by a backyard breeder. She is a sweet dog, but we have too many already and she deserves someone who will cherish her. I was told that she was raised in a 10x10 outside which ususally comes with potty training issues. She still poops inside but I have her trained to use a pee pad. She is skittish and un-trusting at first. Took her 2 weeks here just to let you pick her up. Whomever adopts her needs to allow time and space for her to adjust and be careful that she doesn't escape during that adjustment period. The hardest part, is she has trauma related to a crate, so that cannot be used. She roams freely in my house, sleeps in the bed and cuddles with everyone. She would thrive as an only pet, or with other dogs. She is afraid of cats. Food motivated. I am getting her spayed and fully vetted this week, and willing to travel most of Texas for the right person.
