Meet Buster Brown!
Breed: DachshundGender: MaleAge: Senior (will be 9 years old in September)Size: Small (11 lbs)Good with: People, chill dogs who appreciate relaxed vibes
Buster Brown loves people and has been in a home his whole life—which makes it all the more heartbreaking that due to some unfortunate circumstances, he finds himself looking for a new home in his golden years. This sweet senior boy deserves a soft landing after a lifetime of being someone's beloved companion.
Buster is potty trained, likes to go in the car, and walks well on a leash—basically, he's already the perfect companion and just needs someone to give him a chance. He loves snuggles and likes to be held like a baby, soaking up every ounce of affection you're willing to give. He's affection to the max and will become the shadow you didn't know you needed, following you around and making sure you're never alone.
He isn't huge into toys—Buster is really more of a people pleaser. His happiness comes from being near you, not from squeaky toys or games of fetch. He gets along well with other dogs who share his views on snuggles and relaxed vibes, making him a great fit for homes with other mellow dogs or as a devoted only dog.
At 11 pounds and approaching 9 years old, Buster is the perfect lap-sized senior who just wants to spend his golden years being loved and cherished. He's already house-trained, well-mannered, and ready to settle into a new home without the chaos of puppy training or behavioral issues. Buster Brown has so much love left to give, and he deserves to spend his senior years in comfort and security!

Disclaimer: The information in this profile reflects observations made while this dog has been in our shelter environment. We strive to describe each dog as accurately as possible; however, behavior and needs may change once the dog is in a new home, routine, or environment. Our dogs are not freeroaming in homes. When we note that a dog is "potty trained," this refers to reliable crate training, not confirmed freeroam house training. Accidents may occur during the transition to a new home, and additional training should be expected. All dogs are examined by our veterinarian, are spayed or neutered if old enough, and are up to date on ageappropriate vaccinations at the time of adoption. We share all known medical information, but we cannot guarantee future health or rule out underlying conditions.
ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.happyfacespetranch.org
Once your application has been approved, a representative will be in touch to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog based on the dog's individual needs.
